Rand Paul comes out AGAINST appointing Special Counsel to investigate Hunter Biden business deals

Rand Paul has come out against a special counsel being appointed to investigate Hunter Biden:

FOX NEWS – Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., said Thursday that Hunter Biden “deserves the same justice that Paul Manafort got” but opposed appointing a special counsel to oversee the investigation into his tax affairs.

“Hunter Biden deserves the same justice that Paul Manafort got. Nothing less, nothing more,” he said, referring to President Trump’s former campaign chairman who was imprisoned for various financial crimes.

Some Republicans have called for the Justice Department appointing a special counsel before Biden takes office to look into the matter, but Paul said he opposed it because those kinds of prosecutors were “too powerful.”

Instead Paul calls on Biden to leave in place the US Attorney that is already investigating Hunter Biden:

Responding to President-elect Joe Biden’s “confident” claim that his son did nothing criminal, Paul said he should show it by bucking tradition on new presidents removing all U.S. attorneys. The younger Biden is under federal investigation for, among other things, his overseas business dealings.

“If he’s confident, he should leave in place the U.S. Attorney [in Delaware] who’s investigating Hunter Biden,” Paul told “Fox & Friends.” “Traditionally, when a new president comes in, they fire all the U.S. attorneys. If he wants to show that this is going to be an upright, upstanding Biden administration … he needs to leave that U.S. attorney in place.”

Paul said if Biden did fire the prosecutor in the first weeks of his presidency, justice wouldn’t be served.

I must say I disagree with Paul on this one. I believe a special counsel needs to be appointed, not because Hunter Biden himself was conducting overseas business deals, but because it was all apart of Joe Biden’s scheme to sell his influence.

As I mentioned on Twitter a few minutes ago when a hack reporter claimed that this is just payback for what was done to Trump:

The media is garbage. They refuse to see the forest for the trees because they don’t want to see it. They want to pretend that there is nothing illegitimate to the Biden crime family’s business deals, which Joe has been lying about for years now.

Regarding Paul’s challenge that Biden keep the US Attorney investigating his son to prove he’s confident, that’s a nice sentiment. But he’s delusional if he believes that’s even a possibility. Rand Paul has come out against a special counsel being appointed to investigate Hunter Biden:

As soon as Biden is inaugurated, his first act will be to fire U.S. Attorney Scott Brady in order to stop the investigation into his son. This is simply another reason why we must have a special counsel to find out the truth here.

There is something in the drinking water in DC. That’s right. They just legalized “plant medicines.”

Why/how would a military tribunal come into this?

Hunter Biden is not on my radar right now. I think all efforts should be in flipping the stolen election and saving the country.

If Biden gets in, Hunter Biden will be our least worry, and one of the minor criminal players.

Sounds like Rand is in favor of abolishing the IRS.

Nothing will happen to Hunter, not for molesting his own niece, not for the child porn on his laptop, not for his business dealings with China, Ukraine, etc etc..because remember these two words..Plausible Deniability..that is all you need to know when it comes to Democrats accused of anything

“military tribunal”

He’s dreaming of SWIFT and SURE justice followed by a firing squad. As we all have the past four years for all the Deep State seditionist slimeballs who have destroyed the Constitution, the Trump Presidency and the USA.

I agree with Senator Paul.

Special prosecutors are easy pickings for the Left. All they need to do is pull out their Saul Alinsky workbook.

Of course, securing an indictment for any Democrat is pretty much an extinct concept. Hillary Clinton is testament to that.

Um...it is a STATUTE passed by Congress!

Instead Paul calls on Biden to leave in place the US Attorney that is already investigating Hunter Biden:

Who Biden can -- and will -- FIRE in his first month in office. Moron!

His deniability isn’t even plausible any longer. The photographic and documentary proof is overwhelming.

But that doesn’t matter. His Democrat card is one of the highest there is and that covers everything. Anyone, regardless of position, in law enforcement, the legal system, the judiciary or politics is far more afraid of him than he is of them.

Paul’s a libertarian, this just follows what is true to his heart. Good for him.

I lean in his direction on this. Mueller was a monster suffering from dementia with unlimited power. Just because the shoe is on our foot, does not make it right. And I have no confidence the Special Counsel will do his job anyways, it would likely be a coverup.

Special Counsels are a Dem creation to hound innocent people to the grave. It’s like inventing new laws when the law is already there. The correct action would be to ban Special Counsel altogether, and, as another has iterated, invoke military tribunals in extreme cases.
