I do not see how the States that are NOT Defendants of the lawsuit can legally insert their cases into this?
Now the Prosecutor can have other States that felt cheated join the lawsuits. The Defendant States are on their own. They can have supporters, but that is it.
Thus, I believe this is for the most part symbolic and nothing more. It will have no legal merit whatsoever.
Wyoming is supporting the suit.
Yup, like other rapists coming to the defense of the rapist.
As did the Pennsylvania legislature.
And Georgia legislature, at least some of them
Maybe they are not really parties but merely filed as amicus curiae statements (friend of the court). As I understand it early reports of states joining the suit turned out to be just amicus curiae statements friendly to the suit...think I heard there were 19. And then I think I heard there were 6 states that had actually joined Texas for the suit as parties, or at least filed to.
Legal stuff is very technical, and in this day of rapid news by internet, us layman get confused.
CWII is on!
US against them!
I disagree. I believe that any state that did its job and maintained sound electoral processes as outlined by the Constitution (That is, followed the legal instructions of its own State Legislature) can make a case that its own citizens were disenfranchised by other States that ignored the Constitution and its own State Legislatures which swung the election anti-Constitutionally towards Biden.
In my none legal opinion, states that enter the side of the defendants are themselves admitting that their actions could be unconstitutional.
States can sign on to the briefs of other states. At this point, every argument that can be made has been made.
Battle lines being formed for CW II.
Won’t be quite so clean because many “blue” states are really just a couple of blue cities with deep red in between.
Good luck getting food, metrosexuals!
Well... yeah.
What standing do the DEM AG’s have in the case? NONE, they are not aggrieved in any meaningful way.
You might want to reread what I said.
Great idea, why not divide the country and let their be red and blue America.
Roberts theory about no Democrat or Republican judges has been blown to smithereens. Attorney generals are supposed to enforce the law. It would have been good had some Democrat attorney generals sided with Texas. Is he too blind to see it?
