The Ohio Department of Health has notified the Cuyahoga County Board of Health of a sustained surge in coronavirus fragments found in wastewater at two county treatments plants, which could portend a boost in COVID-19 cases in the region in the days ahead...People can start shedding virus within a day or two of infection and it’s believed that a corresponding increase in cases of COVID-19 could start showing up three to 10 days later.
The volume of gene copies in the sewage at the Westerly and Easterly plants is as high as it has been since reporting began, Fugitt said....
