n Ohio dad was not about to let his son’s high school basketball game begin without the National Anthem. Unfortunately, the audio system failed so Trenton Brown sang it on his own from the stands. This was his first time singing the National Anthem solo and he completely nailed it.
The Star Spangled Banner is a very challenging song to sing even with practice. Brown decided to belt out the song with some encouragement from his wife to kick off the game.

Good on this guy. That took some brass ones to do.
I know who he voted for.
bttt
And we know who possibly invalidated that vote.
No way. You don't want to hear my try to sing. I'm tone deaf. Everybody around me would be telling me to shut up and sit down.
Been there. Done that.
:)
No kiddin’.
Gotta have very good range to sing it, otherwise one doesn’t do well, right there in front of G-d and everybody.
I am so tone deaf that I am often amazed at people that have a natural gift. I was looking at why people thought Freddie Mercury had such a range. Some people thought it is because of his teeth.

I can only get one bar into that song and my eyes water.
I also watch another short video on "subharmonics". That was good too.
Amazing what some people can do with their voices.
some of the comments are quite funny
I liked this one

I wonder how many men she’s led into the misty sea.
Nice to hear.
(Sorry, but I hate the slang used to describe something good, as in bad = good, etc. “slaying” could easily be singing horribly.)
A simple rendition is always the ones that give me goosebumps. I don’t know why these celebrities have to mangle the anthem with their own versions. It takes away from the beautiful melody and lyrics.
That’s great and would have been nice if the entire crowd had joined in. Maybe he expected them to but they didn’t get it.
Yeah, I loved the way he sat down and just started eating popcorn. Made him hungry, I guess.
Thanks - great!
