The presidential election of 1912 reflected a time of party division and booming progressivism in partisan politics, as former President Theodore Roosevelt led a robust movement of Republicans who opposed reflexive conservatism.
Roosevelt, who served as president of the United States from 1901 to 1909, dove into a vigorous presidential campaign for the Progressive Party, or Bull Moose Party, advocating against President William Howard Taft and his leadership.
Taft’s presidency triggered Republican party division, prompting Roosevelt to form the Bull Moose Party, a political faction within the Republican party, and made Roosevelt become a prominent third-party candidate on the presidential ballot. Although a Democrat ultimately won the election that year, it was one of the only cases where a top competitor didn’t represent a major political party, as Roosevelt received nearly 30 percent of the popular vote—more than Taft got.
With speculation rife about President Donald Trump running for a non-consecutive term in 2024, experts have suggested that he might decide to form his own third-party based on “Trumpism,” similar to what Roosevelt did in the 1912 election.

As if we’ll ever have another honest election if we allow this one to be stolen.
Just what we need to divide the party and elect President Harris.
Hard to believe President Trump would not obtain the nomination of the Republican party if he were to run for it.

NOOB!
No election of a Conservative candidate will ever occur again unless voter fraud is totally eliminated.
No Ma’am.
;)
It boggles my mind to see the number of people across the conservative spectrum that fail to understand the gravity of the current situation.
I for one would like an explanation from those who think along the lines of a 2024 run how that is supposed to occur without legitimacy in our voting process. Define for me a republic then reconcile that with what has occurred this past November. If left to stand we have no republic.
He be Bernied by the GOPe.
So, the plan is for Trump to split the GOP vote in 2024, so a RAT gets elected President with under 50% of the vote? Huh?
TR had buyers remorse for mounting a 3rd party bid as the “Bull Moose” candidate in 1912, and returned to the GOP fold in 1916 and endorsed Charles Evans Hughes. He rightfully pointed out that Wilson had been a disaster.
I don’t expect Trump to break from Republicans.
We’ll probably see that in action at the rally today, which is actually being billed more as a rally for the re-election of Republican Senators, than a rally for the re-election of Trump.
And I demand an explanation from those who demand that the election process be fixed by a Democrat government. Some states got out the vote enough to overwhelm the cheating. Others succumbed to conspiracy theories, defeatism and the politics of division brought to them by Democrats pretending to be conservatives.
And on the narcissism behind much of the befuddlement, people can’t have their dope, free sex and freedom, too. They must choose between hedonism and freedom. Addictions are tools of slavery.
Stupidity.
No. This election is a complete steal. No one will accept it as anything but. If the stealers take over the country there will not be another election. Ever. Mint for a 78 y/o trump at the very last.
I sincerely hope not. Trump has been over these last four years the anti-bureaucrat and small government pro-constitutionalist.
Contrast that to Theodore Roosevelt, a statist progressive who had a big government answer to every problem. And often times, a bureaucracy to go along with it. He constantly had to formulate new ideas for getting around that pesky constitution.
No thank you.
If the Demonrats get away with their crime this election cycle, there won’t be another one.
“explanation from those who think along the lines of a 2024 run how that is supposed to occur without legitimacy in our voting process”
You wont get one. But, there is one way you will get a result. That is the collapse of the economy. And by that I mean WAY WORSE than the depression was.
They shut down the economy like they did last March and we will get to see how well the government works. It works like a broken record, keeps on skipping and skipping and skipping and skipping..
Under the HarrisBiden Admin, the Dominion system will remain in place and even be beefed up. The Ticket of Trump/Pence in 2024 will get only a few million votes while the Harris/Xi ticket will get over 90 million.

The GOPe could fondly hope for that denouement - but I doubt that in ’23 and early ’24 there will be a lot more doubt than there is now that Trump ran very, very strongly in ’20.Any GOPe contender would have trouble making the case that they could run even as well as Trump did in ’16 - let alone in ’20 . . .
Considering what happened to JEB in ’16, there will be a certain bashfulness, I would think, about risking a repeat of that.
The only issue will be Trump’s birth year. And - assuming he then knows he will ace it - Trump could take a memory test on live TV in ’24 and that would be the end of that.
But let’s hope that issue becomes moot because of the success of the legal actions now ongoing.
Well ask yourself if the GOP establishment shoves Nikki Haley down your throat and she is the nominee would you mind Trump running as a third party candidate? I wouldn’t
Don’t buy into this nonsense. Trump isn’t leaving office.
