Parents need fresh meat: Could anyone harvest a deer for them

Posted on 11/30/2020 2:35:01 AM PST by Patriot777

My 80-year-old parents could use some fresh lean meat for their freezer. Both are in poor health and money is tight. They live in Gregg County, Texas. Could a beloved fellow FReeper help my parents out with a freshly harvested, processed deer? I will pay what I can.

I know most midwestern do the same, including my state.

Just not sure how many pounds are donated.

Tennessee has food banks where hunters can donate their deer kills to be given to needy families and elderly.

Why don’t you just send them $100 so they can buy some meat?

Alaska allows proxy hunting for senior citizens. If you can't get out in the woods, find a young friend who loves to hunt.
