So at 5:00 Eastern we just got our cell phones buzzing loudly.
We figure it's an Amber Alert.
Annoying as those are....

Stop scaring people with these loud alerts! (As stated, I’m not crazy about it for a single victim. It’s loud and scary - when you’re driving?)

I turned my amber alerts off a long time ago. They’re useless in any situation. If a kid is missing they’re going to send me a text message with a description? Oh OK🙄 I’ll keep my “eyes” out for a 5’6”, 16 year old girl with brown hair and blue eyes.

Well, it must not, or this wouldn’t happen so often. Or it must be so mysterious and cumbersome to use, that people just forego the experience.
search needs an upgrade.

Just got one and it scared the hell out of me.
I thought my devil car was throwing an error noise and then realized it was an End Of The World screech like the old radio alert test.
Grabbed the phone and saw what it and got pissed.
I just turned the alerts OFF and some of “contact tracker alert” I didn’t even know was on here.
