I got one of those emergency alerts a few weeks back. Almost jumped out of my skin when the phone went off. A stupid warning about Covid! Like I haven’t heard that info in the last 5 minutes.

Supermarket was packed in Lower Merion PA, which is an uber Liberal area.
Why panic,,,,just make HCQ and Zinc Sulfate OTC drugs so everyone could self medicate just like a cold. Critical that self medication start within 48 hours of onset of cough and fever.......Problem solved.

I turned that shit off on my phone after the first time I got an alert. Now if I could only turn off those weekly and monthly national alerts on my TV, I’d be a happy camper. I don’t watch any live TV, but record everything I watch, and that shit still shows up.
BTW, doing a few searches....not surprisingly, don’t find anything about a similar TG warning system.

We will be picking up our prepared T Day dinner at that time to day for tomorrow.
Our first time since the Cuban missile crisis not to be with family or friends or both.
T Day will be photos, texts and talking from coast to coast

I left the regular alert on because I might want to know if the missiles launch.

We did our normal weekly Walmart food pickup yesterday afternoon, and they were busy. So was our Nob Hill, Monday morning.
Then, the trip home from Walmart had very little traffic. A lot of people still get most of the week off.
I didn’t search it up; I ran headlong into them. From memory, it seems like it they were threads from PA.
I wasn’t at all griping about the actual thread. But search works so poorly as to be worse than broken. Yet it’s used like a blunt weapon.

I live in a family of great cooks, including one who was a chef for a couple of decades.
My wife is a supper cook and was like a conductor with our Thanksgiving and Christmas meals. Often I finished the Brined Willie Bird Turkey on our charcoal-er.
We are going to miss that bliss. We had no problem with having our family here, our adult children/their spouses and grand kids did not want to expose us to whatever they might have been exposed to this past week.
So we opted for each family staying at home and doing dinner on their own.
The Democrats have to keep THE FEAR going full bore to cover up today’s election fraud news.
What they’re not realizing is that smart people are already thinking about the amazing confluence of the virus and the election fraud. Why, it’s almost as if the two of them had something — oh, maybe a political party — in common!
