For those of you that don’t know, Lt Col Jeff Cooper was a US Marine best known for developing “modern” handgun shooting techniques and for his knowledge of small arms. And I think that this quote by Lt Col Jeff Cooper on curbing violent crime shows exactly why he was such a large cultural force in the firearms community. His advice was not only theoretically useful and fun to practice at the range, but also applicable to life. He knew that one of the primary uses of a firearm is self-defense, and his teachings and the above quotation reflect that.
One of the best reasons to own a firearm is for self defense. Yes, they are great for hunting and necessary to deter, or fight if necessary, tyranny. But, for the average suburban or urban American, firearms are most useful for self defense.
That is because “when seconds count, the police are only minutes away.” The police can’t be everywhere at once. And, as pointed out in this Lt Col Jeff Cooper quote, the criminals in society don’t fear them. Instead, you have to be proactive and prepare to defend yourself. Buy an AR-15; just look at the recent George Floyd protests and Antifa riots to see why you need one.

Violent criminals and their dependents, supporters, etc., are an important Democrat constituency.
So there is no way they are going to allow violent crime to be curbed.
Even if the criminals can still vote after they are dead.
As an aside, one can search Cooper’s Chronicles for lots of his writing from his gun writing days, much info and common sense.
Publicly execute drug dealers.
Oh, the Free Republic drug dealers aren’t going to like that.

I would fight to last breath to protect home and family.
But there is a kid with 2 million dollar bond and facing trial for murder for killing two communist terrorists and wounding a third.

I seriously doubt there’s any drug dealers here.
In Minneapolis, when seconds count, you get the police’s answering service, telling you it’s a 2-3 day wait.
Just like waving a red cape in front of a goat.
If one studies the methods of the communists used
during the beginning of their reign, one can see
the same process in use today...glossed over and
smoothed into a sugary shell for easier consumption.
They realized early on that the same brute methods
used on their people would not work in a nation of free men,
so have been shaping the battle field for the last

prematurely but they apparently do not think so.
And his family won’t be bankrupted because of good lawyers and public charity.
But the fact that the locals didn’t give him a medal shows that society is in a bad place.
Our current situation is anarcho-tyranny, where the laws are only enforced against those who try to obey them.
