I remember 1960. It was said the Chicago Mafia gave instructions to their Union bosses to deliver votes to Kennedy, so Kennedy won.
It was hoped this would smoke off any government investigations into the mafia. It didn’t work.

#9. Where did the English named guy Payne come from? I thought this was still an all Gumba Boys network.
I missed them when I worked on an Organized Crime Task Force aimed mainly at the Gambino/Gotti (NY, Chicago, Vegas/Florida groups and Gigante - (NJ).
Tony Meatballs sounds familiar or is it that I just had dinner at “Subway” where they have good meatball subs? I loved “Jimmy Keys”, “Jimmy Three Fingers”, and “Fishface Fagiola (Fagioli)” of NYC. Them guys had great nicknames.

Oh, did you know that Gov. Mario Cuomo once told a press conference that “The Mafia doesn’t exist. It’s just a smear against Italian-Americans”? Wonder how much they controlled and contributed to his campaigns and hidden bank accounts. Maybe the Mario Cuomo Boys, the Guv (Andrew) and the Workout Freak (Chris), can tell us.
In the “old days”, the mob was the mob and politicians were politicians (even if beholden to the mob. Today the “mob” is composed of “Democrat politicians” and possibly Marxist affinity groups/local politicos.
One day I hope they find the bodies of DeCommio and his communist whore wife “swimming with the fishes” or as Gotti used to say, “they went on a vacation to Jersey”. They would be the “New Jersey Devils”. That term would look good on their tombstones, and the sooner the better.
