Keep the Philppines in your prayers. Manila got flooded badly, but the eye of the typhoon went north of Manila and hit this area badly. Luckily few lives were lost but lots of homes lost roofs and flooding destroyed their homes. Also damage to the rice crop.
Prayers for the people in danger.
I’m praying

Sorry to hear that LD. We didnt even get a light breeze in Mindanao, and no rain. We get earthquakes.
Prayers.
Prayers up. Please post photos if on ground there. Also any rice crop numbers for 2nd responders. We apparently must become our own reporters now.

Yesterday, my nephew married a Filipino woman. My father's family is from south of Manila.

Lord Jesus, please help the Philipino people dealing with the flooding. You are near to the afflicted, and save those who call on you.
Lots of damage to roofs and trees and the unharvested rice but no deaths in our area and just a dozen elsewhere..
Electricity and internet back on in 2 days, with intermittent brownouts as they fix the lines.
The trees blocking roads are cleared but still a lot of cleanup to be done.
We are 60 miles north of Manila and the eye went through at 4 am...when the back of the eyewall hit, the winds were terrible and that is when we lost part of our roof.
Most of the press photos of flooding is Marikina, in Manila, that is below sea level and the houses were built there despite warnings. A middle class area. Manila has damage mainly from flooding, since we were hit by 2 typhoons in a week, one hit south of Manila and the second hit us here north of Manila.
