With Election Day over, The New York Times finally decided to do a retrospective assessment of the damage caused by the Marxist rioting that American businesses had suffered for months on end.
The Times admitted shockingly in a new report: Some activists have downplayed the damage to businesses from looting and arson in racial justice protests around the country. But some small entrepreneurs are struggling. The Times even cited Philadelphia Inquirer architecture critic Inga Saffrons June 1 piece Buildings Matter, Too, where she wrote: People over property is great as a rhetorical slogan. But as a practical matter, the destruction of downtown buildings in Philadelphia and in Minneapolis, Los Angeles, and a dozen other American cities is devastating for the future of cities.

These cities have been destroyed for a _generation_.
No small business owner with an IQ above room temperature would want to open there—too many options elsewhere.
Even worse, confidence in the future is gone. What business person in their right mind will build back, or build new, knowing full well that the Marxist/anarchist riots will continue, and will destroy whatever they build?
The big Democrat cities are dead; they just haven't fallen all the way over yet.
All state-run propaganda organs eventually need to move towards the truth. Only they count on the publics short attention span, they make the move long after the fact, cover it in technical expert analysis, and spin it in a way where they can benefit or promote some other narrative.
I learned this while living in Communist countries.
No small business owner with an IQ above room temperature would want to open theretoo many options elsewhere.
Doubt they could get approved for a loan or insurance coverage. The inner cities will be dead for the foreseeable future.
“Looting Makes Us Stronger”
Forget about the future - the present act is not over. If/when Trump makes progress in challenging the phony, propagandistic declaration of Biden as President - the leftist goons will be back on the street.
530 Violent riots in 215 locations that did 2.5 billion dollars in damage and killed 18 people.
We have video of two different Trump supporters in two different cities being assassinated on the street.
Excellent. Now college students can research the prevalence of food deserts in those areas and decry the racism shown by the fact that some folks do not have local grocery stores or hardware stores or whatnot. And not have a clue as to the real reasons why the stores are no longer there.
Even just knowing that some unaccountable state or municipal functionary can close down your business, and progressively force you to burn through your working capital through months of paying for overhead with no income, all in the name of some nebulous “emergency” power.
Well maybe those two Trump supporters should not have committed 530 violent riots in 215 locations doing 2.5 billion dollars in damage and killing 18 people. Maybe those two deserved it for their two person human crime wave!
Wonderful. Now all those urban dwellers will flee to someplace nicer, and vote Dem.
I hate them.
Personally, I could care less about the Blue Liberal cities. Letem wallow in their own feces. Antifa and other anarchists can burn them to the ground for all I care.
You think that knowing this the GOP will stand up and defy the mob? They'll take Biden and the yoke and hope for a warm, comfortable bed on a peaceful street. The GOP has no stomach for a fight ever. It's what made Trump stand out so much.
I know there are some here who don’t believe that GOP legislatures have the stomach to suck it up and vote for Republican electors.
I believe—that at the end of day, realizing the very survival of the Republican Party is on the line—they will get it done.
We will know soon enough.
mostly peaceful damage
