Those arrogant self-important jerks in the media have been claiming that the election has been decided when the networks say it is. I’m sour on all of them, including Fox. I know I get Newsmax but I haven’t really watched it enough to form an opinion of them. Honestly, I wasn’t impressed with what little I watched. I may just take a break from all TV news. It’s all depressing as hell right now, anyway.

We see in watching various news channels today, everyone has decided in unison that Joe Biden is now the president-elect.
The news coverage tone is based on Biden having won. There’s a lot of chatter about what Biden is going to do about Healthcare, climate change , and other things.
The media are taking the position that there is no basis for any election problems noted by Trump. They are taking the position that the the election is totally over and now speculating whether Elizabeth Warren is going to be in Biden’s cabinet somewhere.
This whole notion that the media gets to “call” an election is so ridiculous. It’s just a propaganda ploy, a political con. We should ignore it and treat it as laughable and beneath contempt. Worth remembering that it was again the same Fox News that first called Florida (and thus the presidency) for Al Gore.
I remember that night! I was out shopping and some people were excitedly telling each other Gore had won, then there was the last-minute update about the contested Florida votes, and a collective “Huh.”
There are people now who “just want it all to be over” and for Trump to “leave peacefully.”
This nation needs to put on its big boy/big girl pants and deal with the actual legal count. I think there is less patience for that among the low-information voters (well, that’s a term I have NOT heard used this election cycle, for some reason) today.
As I recall the people in 2000 were collectively more willing to deal with a month’s worth of discomfort and uncertainty.
Right now the media is trying hard to force feed them.
Democrats and the media have formed a pseudoverse, within which they believe they can activate the alternative realities of their fantasy world. However, they will learn soon enough that most of the American people will not allow themselves to be taken in or out.
