Democrats currently hold the majority in the House of Representatives with 232 seats out of 435 and the Republicans would need to pick up 17 seats to take back control of the chamber, which they lost in the 2018 midterm elections.

The GOP holds 197 House seats in the current session of Congress. In addition, there is one Libertarian serving in the House, Rep. Justin Amash who left the Republican Party, as well as five vacant seats (four that were occupied by Republicans and one by a Democrat.)

The Cook Political Report and FiveThirtyEight are forecasting that Democrats are likely to gain seats in the general election in Nov. 3.

There are 33 competitive House races to monitor on Nov. 3 that will decide which party controls the chamber next year....

Praying that Joe Collins (LA) and Kim Klacik (Baltimore) take their districts handily.

I see very little talk about taking back the House. Is it possible? Trump’s coattails?

I haven’t heard ANY talk about the house races in the media, or by the Republicans which to me mean they are OK with the House leadership of Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff. Trump is the only Republican worth a damn.

“I see very little talk about taking back the House. Is it possible? Trump’s coattails?

In 1994 Newt Gingrich was one of the few that told us that the GOP would take the House and the GOP took the House!

In 2020 Newt Gingrich is telling is that Trump will win the election and we will not be surprised when the GOP takes the House.

Nobody ! none of the Talking Heads - none of the evil main stream press Democrat talking WHORES !!

is talking about the house

Every single seat in the house changes every two years

Or the very least comes up

I for one cannot see the Democrat trying to keep the seat they stole from the Republican last time , having any message to run on

Trump Has laundry list of achievements proposals and ideas. Lots of them

President Donald Trump has finally told the truth to the American people , as he sees it

Somebody once called him the blue-collar billionaire

He is someone that spent most of his formative years on giant construction sites , running projects where you had to deal with

local demoncat politicians
the police
traffic schedules
cranes
pouring concrete

and that he played the street game and being tough

As much better position to be in then paying people off

Asking people to do things in terms of return of money , is much better than just giving them money

That is the major difference between Republicans and Democrats

Republicans want you to get up and go to a job every day and make money; and Democrats just want to give you money and stay at home

If you listen to the MSM, the Republicans are struggling not to lose the Senate.

How could my District (NJ-11) not be on the list! It was Republican forever until RINO Rodney Frelinghuysen abdicated and Mikie Sherrill (D) won in 2018.

ML/NJ

Trump sucks up the energy in politics. In a sense no one else matters. But hopefully we’ve got credible candidates across the candidates and they can, if they support Trump, ride his vote to victory.

House races are local.
This is a nationalized election: Trump vs. the Swamp, for all the marbles.

The reporting on this election is like a nauseating rollercoaster ride. Fox is talking about the widening dem majority in the House and the new dem Senate. Others talking about the endangered dem majorities. Biden’s bagged it, Trump has bagged it. It’s a red wave, it’s a blue wave, it’s too close to call.

The media has left us flying blind.

“I see very little talk about taking back the House. Is it possible? Trump’s coattails?”

I think they are keeping that possibility a secret. 538 has Biden winning big, so in my book he has no credibility

My #2 hope, right after Trump reelected, is that Cheri Bustos IL-17 gets crap-canned. She was hand-picked by Dirtbin and the district gerrymandered to include the most traditional democrat areas, i.e. the “blacker” parts of Rockford and Peoria, and she panders very well. But she is also Nancy Pelosi’s handmaiden and heir-apparent, currently running the DCCC, the congressional democrat money and favor giving operation. She is on the ascent unless stopped and this is the year to do it with a district that Trump won by a narrow margin in 2016 and where she won with a 13% margin over a 911 truther nutjob that even the R party disavowed.

There is a chance to take back the House even in the red areas of blue states if turnout for Trump really brings out the R ticket voters.

“Trump sucks up the energy in politics.”

Nonsense, Trump adds energy to the Race. He is getting folks that have never voted to vote. It is opinion that the first time voters will vote down ticket for the GOP. Yes, they will retake the House and expand the senate control.

“Trump sucks up the energy in politics. In a sense no one else matters. “

Yeah, I get what you’re saying.

The Trump-nado is quite a force pulling in all MSM energy around it.

But at every rally, he introduces the local contenders. He also is setting the case for ANY candidate to copy and get behind.
Hide from suporting PDJT at your own perile.

Roll MAGA, roll!

This, to me has been the only question this entire cycle. Will the Dems hold the house or not...

Time will tell but have fully expected Trump to win and GOP to hold the Senate all cycle.

The media has left us flying blind.

It's the polling. Nobody knows what to make of it. According to the polls, --practically all of them, President Trump is looking at the the worst re-election defeat since Jimmy Carter, a monumental national repudiation of Trumpism that will cost the GOP their Senate majority as well. Only problem is, none of the jibes with what we're seeing on the ground where the energy and momentum seems totally focused on getting Trump re-elected.

Wednesday morning, either Trump is finished in a devastating landslide defeat or the entire concept of polling as we know it is irreparably broken.
