AOC Demands Democrats “Expand the Court” If They Regain Power

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (AOC) tweeted an ominous message to “expand the court” following the successful confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court.

Barrett was sworn in as the newest Supreme Court justice following a 52-48 vote. Clarence Thomas administered the constitutional oath to her Monday night.

In a short response, AOC (D-NY) wrote: “Expand the court.”

She followed up with another message claiming Republicans actions in carrying out their Constitutional duty was a form of “bullying” and that her party needed to play dirty in response.

To change the number of justices on the Supreme court, Congress has to change the law. Currently the law says nine justices and his has been the law since 1869.
IF they want more justices, they have to get a law through Congress and signed by the President.
Good luck with that if any of the houses of Congress or the Presidency are still Republican.

IF they want more justices, they have to get a law through Congress and signed by the President.

That is all part of the plan. Get complete control of two branches of government and then use that control to gain control of the third. The thing inquiring minds should be asking is "and after that, what will they want to control?"

The President when reeelected should honor Representative Cortez (she demands respect you know) and tell the public he will expand the court.

They haven't stopped to think what the Republicans might do when they win...take the Dem lead and pack the court.

Their bet is that the Dems will use a packed court to flood the country with new, dependent client voters, and also legalize various types of "every vote counts" voter fraud. So that, there will never be a Republican win again for a long, long time.
