Broadcast Signal Accidentally Picks Up Two Old Men Yelling At Each Other Instead Of Presidential Debate
Babylon Bee ^ | 09/29/2020

Many were looking forward to the presidential debate tonight, hoping to thoughtfully consider each candidate's position so they could make a wise, informed decision about who to vote for in this year's election.

But it looks like that won't be happening, as debate organizers accidentally picked up a signal from some kind of nursing home where two angry old men were just shouting at each other for 90 minutes.

"The signal must have gotten crossed with some kind of live stream of an old folks' home," said one technician. "They were shouting about money and politics and viruses and all kinds of stuff. I know you were all really interested in hearing the candidates tonight. Sorry about that."

Except it was three angry old men rather than two. It sounded like two of them had ganged up on the third.

That’s quite true. It sounded like a gang-related beat-down, two against one. (I am so glad I didn’t watch it!)

I saw that Fox News published that Trump interrupted 71 times and Biden only interrupted 56 times. They forgot to mention how many times Wallace interrupted only Trump to keep him from making his point. Together the Biden/Wallace team I am sure far surpassed the number of interruptions that Trump made.

Wallace interrupted Trump many more tines than he did Biden. And when Wallace interiors Trump, Biden doesn’t have to. Its grossly misleading to only point out how much each candidate interuppted.

The MSM desperately wants to silence Trump. They want to turn this onto some kind of totalitarian pogrom where Trump must sit silently while being berated by both Biden and the moderator. Team Trump would be crazy to agree to it.

It basically became “Question Time”.

I actually cannot recall him interrupting Biden at all. He let him get away with the Charlottesville Lie unanswered. Wallace knew it was a lie, but didn’t want Trump to set the record straight. Wallace then attacked TRUMP for supposedly supporting ‘White Supremacists” when it there hasn’t been any “white supremist” problem since the KKK was prostrated.

Reminded me of the “Animal House Trial”, with Wallace as Dean Wormer.

When you watch the 2012 debate with Biden and Ryan, you will see what would have happened if Trump had followed the morning after Bush republican advice.

Trump is destined to be characterized as “mean” or “weak”. He chose the lesser of two evils. Joe Biden and Chris Wallace are angry that Trump didn’t roll over for them like a good Bush republican.

Let’s not pretend these so-called “debates” were ever worth a crap when they were polite and Presidential. The Democrat candidate gets to lie his or her ass off the whole time, and the moderator does nothing about it.

The ONLY worthwhile thing about a Presidential “debate“ is the potential for a special type of interruption, known as the “debate zinger” - a well timed kill shot - such as Trump’s famous “Because you’d be in jail.”, or Reagan’s famous “There you go again.”

Both of which were interruptions.

I’m sorry, but if the moderator isn’t going to call out the Democrat for telling bald faced lies, then the Republican needs to interrupt - it’s that simple.

If they turn mics off, I’ll never watch another debate

Not only did Wallace interrupt Trump many more times than Wallace interrupted Biden, Wallace’s interruptions of Trump were to stop him from making a good point. Wallace’s interruptions of Biden were to stop Biden from making a mistake or to give Biden help on his answer. ... very different types of interruptions. I hope someone will analyze those differences.

I caught that broadcast signal. I did. Except mine was not two old men yelling at each other. It was three.
