Rush Limbaugh toyed with the idea that Senate Republicans skip the confirmation hearings for President Trump’s next Supreme Court nominee. scotus hearings

Limbaugh, a conservative radio host, mentioned the idea during his Monday broadcast.

He believes whoever the nominee is, Democrats will be planning to drag their name through the mud, just as they did with other Republican presidential nominees.

“I want the Judiciary Committee — I think it’d be great if it were skipped,” suggested Limbaugh.

“We don’t need to open that up for whatever length of time so that whoever this nominee is can be Kavanaughed or Borked or Thomased,” he added. “Because that’s what it’s gonna be, especially when it’s not even required.”

If it's legal, they should definitely do this. Why give Dems a platform?

I think they should do this especially since Schumer is trying every trick to stop this. 2-hour rule. Spit!

Without hearings, I think Romney and a few others would vote no. Mitch has said three days of hearings. They will be nasty. But unavoidable.

One of the many, many turn offs to voting Republican is how weak and effeminate they act even when they control congress. It’s a new day. Ram it home Turtle!!! Stick it in and break it off.

Late October might be the plan.

It will keep Kamala Harris tied down in DC for the hearings, and as long as the hearings drag out, the SCOTUS nomination becomes the one-and-only issue in the Presidential race — all in Trump’s favor.

However, I would prefer a quick vote, just in case mail-in corruption makes it to he Supreme Court before the election.

Why give Dems a platform?

Because they will make fools of themselves. Give them a week to do so. Then refer it out of committee for full Senate confirmation after a weekend of gnashing and wailing.

I’m telling you, this whole RBG thing is a delight to me. Because their pain is my pleasure. And we’re not hearing very much about global warming and cover. I’ve needed the change of topic.

Yes yes yes! Pick a clearly good nominee and confirm directly without Democratic circus 🎪 ( committee hearings, which are not required anyway). Deny the Dems another opportunity to stage another disgusting slander attack like they did to kavanaugh. If the debs complain, simply explain this reason.

The Supreme Court resumes work in October.

A confirmation vote should be held as soon as possible so conflicts of interest such as contested elections have no time to pop up.

“Because their pain is my pleasure.”

That’s almost poetic.

It’s fun to see them melt down, and be powerless, after being bullies 24/7 for the last four years. They deserve maximum payback for all they put the country and PDJT through non-stop.

Exactly, imagine the Dem/media push to postpone if (when) the election is close. No, this MUST be done before the election preferably a week or so before.

Better IDEA

We must show how out of mind are Dems
Let them yell and scream during hearings and put that on Oct commercials.
Idea is to contrast whoever is Pres Trump’s pick as rational choice against Dems illogic during hearings.

Limit the hearings to x hours so that they delivery their most insane comments and our editing is easier.

Just as running ads having Kerry spouting that Mideast peace is impossible without Palestinians

Everything showing their anger works toward President’s victory.

It is legal according to the Constitution. Perhaps he could give each senator 10 minutes to ask questions. And then after all have had their shot, call for an immediate vote.
