[Vanity] Relax about the RINOs over RBG. Trump & Mitch got this
EEE | 20 SEPTEMBER 2020 | EEE

Posted on 09/20/2020 2:02:58 PM PDT by Extremely Extreme Extremist

Sorry for the vanity - I know we need to crack down on them and fill up the tank, but this needs to be said.

All you FReepers worried about Sens. Murkowski, Romney, and Collins (and probably add Thune and Toomey to the mix, they're wildcards) need to chill. Enjoy the show, as a certain letter of the alphabet has said.

These statements put out by the aforementioned Senators are completely non-binding. They are simply designed to quell some of the Left's anger and soothe passions as the nation mourns RBG. I even wish Trump hadn't said anything about a replacement until at least Tuesday.

Mitch and Trump has been prepared for this exact moment. Already, Pelosi has overplayed her hand to the point where she's being denounced by Rahm Emmanuel himself. The never let a crisis go to waste guy, is out there condemning Pelosi.

Other people who have completely overplayed their hand are the Left's foot soldiers in the media and Hollywood. If there's going to be violence, or hateful comments, especially against ACB, who is a married mother of 7 including a Down's Syndrome child and 2 adopted kids from Haiti, it will backfire on the Left.

Before the hearings (Personally, they should hold a floor vote for ACB, she has already had Senate hearings in 2017) even begin, Mitch is going to read the RINOs the riot act. They are going to be told in no uncertain terms that they have nothing to lose by voting to confirm Trump's nominee. You think the Left is going to stop targeting Collins if she caves? Hell no. Her Senate seat is the #1 target for the Dems.

So, Collins in the end is going to vote to confirm Trump's nominee. Again, her statement is just porn for the liberal media to muse as they report about how "Republicans are distancing themselves from Trump's radical nominee." Collins is going to look at the riots, the threats of violence, and no doubt the smearing of ACB by the Left, and with being chewed out by Mitch, will come to realize that voting for Trump's nominee will light the base on fire and those conservatives who were on the fence will come out to vote for her re-election, while the leftist agitators targeting her will be completely demoralized.

Murkowski is up for re-election in 2022. It's been rumored that Sarah Palin may challenge her. If she votes to confirm, that immediately kills Sarah's chances, because the base will support her for supporting Trump's nominee.

Romney will likely vote no, but optics are the key here. His vote is not needed and it'll be neutralized by a Manchin vote anyway.

So let's not hit the panic button here. I believe these RINOs will fall in line because they will be completely on the outskirts if they don't.

Disagree about Manchin, although you make logical argument.

But Manchin needs to get elected.

The Dems aren’t going to win this. They,re hoping for a stroke of luck.

Manchin voted for Kavanaugh because he was up for re-election in 2018. Then once he was safely returned as Senator, he fell in line and voted to impeach Trump. Manchin is not up for re-election again until 2024. He's not breaking from the Democrat voting line anytime soon.

Of the RINOs, Collins is the most infuriating.

This woman is being lied about and targeted by the Left, and she still thinks she can come to some reasonable agreement with her.

If she votes no, or demands that the vote takes place after the election, she is history. No Trump supporter is going to vote for her in November.

With all the Senate rules may not be able to get the vote in anyway but go through all the steps up to the vote. That will expose them for what they are.

This is beautiful. Trump has two very good nominees. The first one will possibly go down as a sacrifice. Do you want to go after a staunch conservative Catholic and lose even more vote there? Or do you want to anger the Cuban/Venezuelan sections of Miami/South Florida?

Surly there is one qualified conservative black female out there that President Trump could nominate, thus putting a gag on Buffoon Biden’s promise to nominate the first black female to the SCOTUS. Plus it would be so funny watching the libs, especially in the media, try and spin it somehow President Trump’s black female is not really black, not really female, or some other lamebrain claim that she would somehow not be qualified.

Mr. President, DRAFT a BLACK FEMALE.......PLEASE!

And the more it falls apart, the more violent they get, and the more they riot, the more Trump supporters create.

He (Doug Jones) will toe the dem party line. He is behind the Republican candidate, Tommy Tuberville, by double-digits and doesn’t care to vote the will of the people of Alabama. Jones is a spineless democrat hack.

True, we are in a much better place than with Kavanaugh, we won just enough seats to cover Murkowski, Collins, and Romney.
It would have been nice to have one extra seat as a buffer, but I think we got this.

And I believe the more Republican representatives and senators are elected.

Collins will likely vote no or abstain. Murkowski is a likely no for Barrett due to her likelihood of voting to overturn Roe v Wade. Probably caves on Barbara Lagoa though. Look for Mitt to fall in line and vote yes for either.

Bottom line Mitch doesn’t need any of their votes to confirm Barrett or Lagoa.

He never does that when it comes to judge appointments.

Doubt we’ll get Jones vote. He’s toast and knows it. At this point he’s trolling for a job.

I heard a radio commentator, can't remember who, say that looking at the polls now is a waste of time - something big surely will happen between now (i.e. one or two months ago) and the election which will have a huge effect.

Rush.

And he said it again last week.
