In my personal experience, the pain should calm down in a few days. But it's hell until it does.

Over the past two months I have asked you to join our family in praying for the recovery of my nephew Bill's wife. Jessica has a serious form of cancer that only a miracle could give her a chance of surviving. With your prayers and ours, we got that miracle and she has progressed to a point where chemo therapy, which was not even seen as being helpful, has been started. Now Jessica is experiencing strong waves of pain from her treatments and needs our prayers again. Please pray with us that she can manage this burden until she is healed and fully restored to the loving arms of Bill and her 2 and 6 year old sons.

Jessica is in my daily prayers. I will add her to my St. Peregrine’s prayer list. I also pray that God gives Bill the strength to cope during this troubling time.
May the Lord of Hosts grant succor to this brave woman in pain.

In THE NAME OF JESUS, you foul, wicked spirit of sickness, BE GONE IN JESUS’ NAME! WE REBUKE you in JESUS’ NAME, and you have to flee! IN JESUS’ MIGHTY NAME, THE NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES, THE I AM THAT I AM, cancer you dry up from the roots and disappear!!!! Get OUT of Jessica’s body, for she is a CHILD OF THE LIVING GOD, JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD AND SAVIOR!
IN JESUS’ NAME, pain you get OUT! There is no place for you, since there is nothing left in Jessica’s body to cause pain! IN JESUS’ MIGHTY, HEALING NAME, Jessica is now healed! Take up your bed and walk!!!!! AMEN!!!

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
Glorious wonder-worker, St. Peregrine, you answered
the divine call with a ready spirit, and forsook
all the comforts of a life of ease and all the
empty honors of the world to dedicate yourself to God
in the Order of His holy Mother.
You labored manfully for the salvation of souls. In union
with Jesus crucified, you endured painful sufferings
with such patience as to deserve to be healed miraculously
of an incurable cancer in your leg by a touch of
His divine hand.
Obtain for Our Dear Jessica the grace to answer every
call of God and to fulfill His will in all the
events of life. Enkindle in her heart a consuming
zeal for the salvation of all men.
Deliver Jessica from the infirmities that afflict her body
Obtain for her also a perfect resignation to the sufferings
it may please God to send, so that,
imitating our crucified Savior and His sorrowful Mother,
she may merit eternal glory in heaven.
