To be sure you cannot judge what’s in someone’s heart and soul and you should not judge lest ye be also judged by the same standards. But it has also been said by someone with authority that by their fruits ye shall know and the fruits of the efforts of Joe Biden and others to preserve the “right” to an abortion and the funding of Planned Parenthood has been tens of millions of little corpses and assorted baby body parts that have torn this nation’s moral fiber ad humanity apart.
You cannot accept a moral evil for if you tolerate, even foster it, you are being complicit in it. Democrats don’t accept a Republican saying he or she is personally opposed to slavery or racial discrimination. I, like Joe Biden, am a Catholic, but I unlike Joe Biden, accept the basic tenet that life begins at conception and ends at natural death. The time and means of our passing are determined by God, not by a surgeon’s instruments and that abortion on demand is a moral evil. You cannot choose otherwise and be a Catholic.

Barry Goldwater was a famous conservative, and was as pro-abortion as he possibly could be. (His wife worked for Planned Deadbabyhood in AZ.) Most of the Ayn Rand / Libertarian wing of conservatism thinks there's nothing wrong with abortion, and a sizeable contingent of the Country Club Republican Party thinks the same way. Why do you think Roe v. Wade is so hard to roll back?
That's why DJT is such a breath of fresh air, and part of the reason (maybe a big part of the reason) why the Babykilling Party is so afraid of him.

It is not for the laity to pronounce who is excommunicated, as that begins with the local jurisdiction and can end up with the pope.
Catholics are to submit to their leadership as docile sheep and as long as Rome manifestly considers even proabortion, proLGBTQ public figures as members in life and in death, then so are the laity. It is conservative RCs that are at most risk to being censored.
