With Main Street still largely in disarray, despite the billions of dollars left in Fed-backed lending programs for small and medium-sized businesses and Ice Cube asking "where's our [bleep]ing bailout?", we imagine the millions of newly impoverished Americans can appreciate the fact that America's jet-setting private equity barons are still doing their thing. After all, a pandemic is trivial compared with Steve Schwarzman's insatiable lust for more - more assets, more capital, more recognition.
Dinesh D’Sousa found by studying the data for several decades back into the 1800s that as many blacks owned BLACK slaves, if not MORE than white slave owners. Not only that but only 13% of the population of US blacks are really descended from slaves, while the rest came from the West Indies, Jamaica, Africa (after slavery was ended) etc. For example, Obama was NOT descended rom slaves. And, his wife, was a free black from the north.
I grew up among many blacks who were never descended from slaves, but their families had always lived in the north where slavery did not exist, essentially. The unfortunate thing was that the north had already been infiltrated by Marxists and when a lie is repeated often enough, it becomes fact in the minds of those who are either too simple to think for themselves, or they have never thought it through for themselves, they just go along with the mob mentallity. Now we have the mob mentality where certain spokespeople can never be called out as liars without setting off tyrannical protests.
If we are going to pray for our country, then pray for real Christians, who actually believe the Bible to be true, to get down on their knees and repent for our own, as well as our national sins...for a reference, you only have to look at the book of Daniel. This humble servant of God who was probably one of the most righteous men in the Bible, understood that he was a sinner and needed to pray for his own sins as well as those of his country.
The whole Bible is given to us as a testimony as to God’s way of dealing with His creation and all the OT is just as important as the NT! Sorry Andy Stanley, but throwing out the OT is not the answer!
As far as I’m concerned, my gg Grandfather paid that debt with the life of one of his children in 1863 with another severely disabled and sent home early... so... they owe me.
None of this has anything — absolutely nothing — to do with the past. It’s just a tale of historical woe being used to get “free money” or to justify far more often than not “fake victimization”.

Of course they won’t. Not YET. But these things tend to have a life of their own later ( especially if the reparations wing of the Democrats gain power ). Just Think of the POTENTIAL !!
Maybe I missed it, but I don’t see where the press release references finding out who owned slaves and who did not. Also, what is to be done about the descendants who did. (My answer: Nothing).

About 13 generations back my Dutch ancestors in the Albany Valley area held about six slaves in their family. By two generations later they had disappeared from any records. Wills no longer included them. There was not census yet so wills were all we have to work with. These same people fought the British as Militiamen and Union soldiers so anyone who wants money from me can pound sand.
So, my great-great-great grandfather owned a slave back in Pennsylvania in the 1700’s. The same g-g-g-grandfather also served in the Pennsylvania militia in the Revolutionary War, which makes me a direct Son of the American Revolution.
Matter of record. The slave was manumitted and lived out his years as a freedman.
Romney, the Mormon Church and their preoccupation with ancestry is going to be used as a weapon.

Some of the free states (like Oregon) would not allow “free persons of color” to come live in their state.
If you go back enough generations you have ancestors from whom you have inherited no DNA. If an ancestor from whom you inherited no DNA owned slaves, would that fact still show up on the DNA test?
We had ‘em fighting on both sides. Mom actually traced the line back to the late 1600’s. They came as indentured servants and had to work many years for the person who paid their transport. I suppose you could considered that a type of slavery.
Politicians best be thinking twice before allowing private bills of attainder or there are gonna be some dynastic political whores not seeing elected office for quite a few generations...
