The Oregon State Police is continually reassessing our resources and the needs of our partner agencies and at this time we are inclined to move those resources back to counties where prosecution of criminal conduct is still a priority.
Last night was our last night in Portland
This decision was based on the fact that our two week commitment ended last night... Troopers are returning to the communities that they are assigned to serve and protect.

What is most shocking is that a local NBC reporter wrote this.
We all knew it was just a short term political show to get the Feds to drop their defenses.
Good for OSP. Why would you subject your personnel to injury and insult if there are no prosecutions? The police should not deploy if the DA’s and courts will do nothing. They are simply targets of assault for rioters who face no consequences so it is somewhat pointless.
The people of Portland will have to show the mayor and city council that they are pissed and tired of the anarchy, but I don’t think they are there yet. A recall petition would do wonders for Mayor Wheeler’s attitude.
Where the hell is the governor?

OSP was not part of the leftist political game there. The state police have to respond when requested and they did. This is a pretty big blow to Portland because the troopers were far more effective than Portland PD who have been totally neutered.
Now you have a decreased Fed presence, no state police, and emboldened anarchists who know they face little chance of consequences.
It will get worse now and the anarchists have already started moving out of the city center.
Portland should read that as a big “F” you and you can kiss our asses.
I hope they put portland on a no respond list. Need a cop, call the local BLM racist rioter.

What puzzles me is why these political left wing mayors and governors allow this to continue. They could stop it all in 24 hours. You simply call up the National Guard which is under control of the governors. Tell them to stop this crap and give permission to use fatal force if endangered by criminals, but only if necessary. If necessary use all your skills to kill. That will stop this crap.
They think this insanity helps defeat Trump. It does not it only helps Trump. Proof positive of this is the media now has much less coverage of the violence and continued mayhem. They know it will hurt Biden and thus ignore it.
