I didn’t see where Shatner actually said “Grow up, sweetie,” on that exchange, but the alphabet people really should have chosen somebody else to pick on. Shatner was apparently quite unlikable on the Star Trek set, so it’s to be expected he would be one to fight back.
The prefix “cis” means “on the same side as.” So while people who are transgender move “across” genders, people who are cisgender remain on the same side of the gender they were initially identified as at birth.... There are many cisgender people who aren’t straight. Any time a group has to label themselves by creating a label for someone else, then they have no identity. You have to be what you are. Not the opposite of what you think others are. The only consistency is human. Everything after that is mostly opinion, not fact. Sexual choice in this instance is not for it’s intent...procreation. In any other case, to include heterosexual bonding, is recreation if not for the effort to procreate.
So don’t use me as an excuse to prove your inequality. You created it.

Gotta love Bill Shatner, what ever it is, he gives it his all. So many people don’t even come close to that. To me, he’s like a white James Brown, he just puts it all out there!
