The most obvious sticking point is that Murder requires premeditation. The Minnesota cops conducted a perfectly bland traffic stop for almost forty minutes. They were polite yet firm, deferential but cautious, constantly de-escalating the situation. That isn't premeditated.
The next most obvious point it the autopsy report. Floyd suffered exactly zero damage to his neck, blood vessels, internal musculature, and the toxicology report shows four-times the lethal dose of fentanyl. Even a bottom tier lawyer like Crimesha couldn't make the case that anything other than drugs and poor health killed Floyd.
This entire case is going too hinge on the lack of immediate response to an emerging medical emergency. And that is a far cry from Murder in any degree.

Very few of the cops think he will be acquitted. If all else fails, they will rig the jury.
Honestly, I dont understand why theyre even going to bother with a trial.
Don’t be so sure about that. One semi-competent lawyer and an impartial juror or two, and Chauvin either walks or gets convicted of something along the lines of excessive force (though even that’s a stretch considering Floyd’s behavior and condition).
Yeah, Judge Jeanine and Hizzoner have already convicted him of first degree murder. So shall it be... /s
Judge Jeanine had an impassioned rant as to Floyd’s death being first degree murder. But she’s not likely to be on the jury.
Why did the Soviet Union have trials?
These police officers did NOT kill George Floyd........just like the officers in Atlanta did not kill that other guy and forgive me for my lack of remembering his name.....Keith Ellison did not want this other part of the body cam out........hmmmmmm, wonder why? Have the National Guard, the military if necessary to be there and squash any demonstrations.......and you know there’s gonna be demonstrations that get out of hand. Justice is for everybody........and police officers are certainly no exception!!!
Yup, , , the “kaboom” after the acquittal will rival the Beirut explosion. Nothing to do but fight and arrest if they choose to ignore the evidence. More violent times likely lie ahead.
Yeah, Judge Jeanine and Hizzoner have already convicted him of first degree murder. So shall it be... /s
And that pisses me off every time I hear someone say that that should know better! Maybe she’ll take a different stance after she sees this new body cam video........if she doesn’t........too bad
Many people, even some here, have ranted passionantly and otherwise that those police murdered floyd. the truth is, not so. we used to teach critical thinking in the public schools, not anymore.
They should announce — in a polite, even handed way — that if the police officers are found guilty, and if whites in the city try to riot, those rioters will be put down hard. Likewise, if they are found innocent, and if blacks in the city try to riot, they will be quickly dealt with. National Guard should be standing by with well-known rules of engagement. Another round of riots should NOT be tolerated.
I’m done with Judge Jeanine either way. She has permanently lost my respect. I DVR Jesse and Gutfeld, nothing in between.
Chauvin probably should be acquitted but venue selection and/or jury selection is the key.
I’m an uneducated deplorable from Minneapolis. I have been saying from the beginning that Saint Floyd died of a drug overdose. I haven’t seen anything that indicates intent to murder.
All it takes is one reasonable juror that can see the facts instead of hysterical emotion and all the cops walk free.
It will be a long time before these trials take place, if ever. The ghetto trash will find a new reason to BurnLootMurder by then.
Good call.
weeks back a friend of mine close to the situation said they were praying Chauvin would accept a plea deal because if it ever went to trial he would not be found guilty.
He needs a change of venue. No way he can get a fair trial in that county.
Acquittal = riots in 3..2..1..
Latest Video changed my mind in an instant...
It will be a sham trial. Then the cops will go into the witness protection program. Nothing would surprise me.
