[This piece is heavy on video.]
And so the false narrative forms around the Beirut explosion. The official government narrative out of Lebanon about the horrific series of hundreds of smaller explosions followed by at least one, and possibly two massive blasts at the shipping port of Beirut on Tuesday.
As I noted yesterday, the Al Arabiya news service reported that the explosions took place at a warehouse that was a known weapons depot for the Hezbollah terrorist group that dominates Lebanons government. President Trump stated at his press conference late Tuesday evening that his generals had told him they believed it was an attack on Beirut, but did not elaborate.

I wasn’t there to see the explosion, but due to the ownership of the building, I sent a letter that I approved of it.
An Aussie paper reports that there was 2750 tons of ammonium nitrate stored next to that grain elevator and a welders spark set it all off.
Thanks for posting. Did it take out that fatazz Hassan Nasrallah?
(R.I.P. Nadji - worked along side him in automotive...from Lebanon...told me a lot of history and stories Was proud to become an American citizen.)

If there were a relatively small fire taking place and munitions (or even fireworks) going off, I’d get the hell out of there, rather than risking setting off the ammonium nitrate. Nice try, Lebanon.
Ammonium nitrate alone wouldnt do that, and its deflagration (burning) would have produced ash-colored smoke. The smoke plume from Beirut was reddish brown like youd see from a High Melting Explosive (HMX) like Octogen, a high-grade rocket fuel of which ammonium nitrate is one of four ingredients (along with hexamine, nitric acid and acetic acid). More likely what blew yesterday was an Iranian ammunition warehouse, or even an Iranian HMX production facility. Where do we think all those rockets fired against Israel come from, or what fuels them? Imminent war delayed.
There's a nice video: Massive explosion at Ukraine ammunition depot forces evacuation
I'd bet someone on site said "oops" just before it went off.
Ahh, the missing component.
Grain elevator dust supplied the combustible.
Ammonium Nitrate supplied the oxidizer.
Spark created the heat.
Boom!
This.
Highly probable, if you watch the explosion in slow-mo you will see the brissiveness of the explosion. It also seems to me that the main explosion seems to have come from under ground. This was not an AN explosion.
Well mix in some diesel oil like what that guy did in OK to bring down that building and it wasn’t near the amount stored in Beirut.
