“We should have sheltered those at risk. For the rest of us it should have been business as usual.”

Needed to take out Trump. That wouldn’t have helped.

Finally, its kind of hard to argue that COVID-19 has been some kind of a disaster for the Swedes given that theyve actually had fewer overall fatalities than normal.
Thats the important bit.

RE: Sweden 569 deaths per million
This article questions the way their CoVid-19 deaths are counted.
It's still a fair comparison, since we're counting our numbers the same way, if not even more vague. Does Sweden have untested people returning positive tests? Or unused swab kits being positive?
Sure, the absolute value of the numbers are both off, but the ratio between us and Sweden is probably about the same.

What I meant was that there was no real goal to prevent the sinking of our economy. The goal from the beginning was to hurt Trump at all possible costs (Needed to take out Trump). To the left/media/Dims/etc., lessening the tragic effects of Covid-19 was not on their agenda. (For them) The more pain the better.(For them) Less pain “Wouldn’t have helped”.

Sweden has a lot going for it, but their economy is somewhat suffering too; down 6% GDP this last quarter.

Compare this to our horrible economy during the second quarter, which sank 33%!

I don’t understand that - those are sunny countries.
