Antifa/BLM protesters had marched through part of Springfield’s Thurston neighborhood without incident for only about a half an hour Wednesday night before they found themselves met with a wall of police behind barricades blocking their progress.

Another half-hour passed with taunts, chants, and threats of arrest before the police pushed past their barricades to grapple with protesters, wrestling some to the ground.

A prominent protest leader was arrested and others were injured in the melee. Two people resisting arrest were dragged from the mob as Portland-inspired protests and riots have spread to small cities in the state. But unlike Portland PD the police in the suburbs decide to end the riots before they even begin.

Some locals complained on Twitter that the rioters were from out of the area & they were TERRORIZING that quiet peaceful working-class town.

I’m not agreeing with these tactics at all, but at this point, with not being able to separate protester and rioter we can’t blame the cops for taking the heavy-handed approach.
The small towns are a totally different world.
Please share this article wherever you can. It is the only way we can work around their censorship and ensure people receive news about issues that Democrats and the mainstream media suppress.

There’s a video on Youtube that shows the townspeople of Colorado City ,Colorado ,ESCORTING the protesters out of town...LITERALLY....Some of the townspeople are on horseback....Then there’s the loooooong line of people with guns making sure the protesters are leaving....Annnd most of the guns are AK47’s....

The first thing people are told (by government or their companies) when they go overseas is to STAY AWAY from protests - if you don’t listen things may not end well.
In this country, if the rioters are using ‘protests’ for cover, and you join the ‘protesters’ or simply go out to watch them, then you deserve whatever consequences you get.
Protesters enable the rioters by being thier shields. Both are equally guilty of all crimes committed.
In the cities one is the roaring lion. In the suburbs/rural areas, that person is the gazelle.

The “protest” ends as soon as the riot starts. Any protesters not actively working their way away from the riotous violence are riot participants. Even just standing around clogs the area for the police, making effective action against the riot more difficult and dangerous.
Blocking out police from responding to a robbery at the gas station results in an accessory charge, at least.
Antifa has been urging mobs to start going down the interstates to towns and suburbs along the route. If anyone thinks they will stop once they have destroyed the cities...this is their next target.
Stupid should hurt.

WTH? Please tell us which state/county/municipality where this happened?
AK-47s ?? I believe it is illegal to own an AK-47 at least without a special permit from BATF. It would be unusual to see many of them in a locale like this (unless it is a muslim enclave). Now the similar looking AR-15 style rifles would be more likely to be seen, no special permit needed.
Fair Warning: If you are protesting peacefully, move far away from those doing damage or assaulting officers OR YOU may become collateral damage.

I heard medical staff yelling at a maintenance crew that was refusing to work on the COVID ward because they didn’t have PPE like the medical staff. Those workers were terrified.
