(snip)

Via Citizen Free Press -- Oberlin Assistant Professor of Politics and Comparative American Studies Jenny Garcia: "Even when there’s violence, protests can make it a more salient issue and provide greater pressure on elected officials and candidates."

"Protests matters and when we see the destruction of buildings, when we see violence either by police or by protesters themselves we actually see greater response by elected officials… what we do know is that elected officials respond to pressure," she said.

My comment at RCP site - What is her view on dictatorial places with mock "elected officials" that won't allow protest (peaceful and/or violent)?

Oberlin Assistant Professor of Politics and Comparative American Studies Jenny Garcia deserves all the mockery (mockeries?) and scorns. Because as a assistant professor of politics, she is totally clueless about revolution and its inherited violence and destruction.

Hey Sweetie, that’s why I beat my wife. I get a better response from her when she knows what’s coming if she doesn’t make me a sammich.

Marxist/Communist “professors/masters” often show
a more human response after being indicted, or
at least tarred and feathered with dripping masks.

I’m sure she’d be fine with those bakers burning down her college to speed up the lawsuit payment process.

yes, the police officer who knelt on george floyd was arrested. but the riots started after.

the officers involved with breonna taylor were arrested, yet the riots continue.

no one condones the killing of unarmed black men by the police. there is no end in sight to the riots.

i thinks the riots are for something else and not government responsiveness.

People should consider "what is the end game?"

As you say, the police officers were arrested. The law was followed. There will be court proceedings. The wheels of justice move forward. That is as it should be.

What else do they want? Summary execution of the police officers? That's what a lynching is. What do the rioters hope to achieve? Their only real strategy must be tied to the election. This is just a political show by a dangerous political party.

Unfortunately, what she says is true...at least in the short term. Then more radical revolutionists will destroy and consume the first revolutionists.

But who wants to live in a devastated, degraded and downright ugly place these bastards have ruined?

This is how Democrats think.

We have yet to grasp just how truly evil Democrats have become.

I thinks the riots are for something else and not government responsiveness.

You think? Her thought process is so far from the truth it is difficult even to respond. If our political process is founded on violence as a means of getting a response from rulers, then the foundation becomes violence as a means to come to any agreement. Has she thought of the long-term effects of that? No.

She is only thinking that some concessions were made to what SHE and the violent protesters wanted. When it goes the other way, THEY will kill to stop the violence. Then, those on whom the killings were perpetrated will respond in like fashion. Pretty soon, you're living in Mexico. That type of cycle of violence never ends. Then, you become the Middle East. After that, you become North Korea. Nothing like thinking things through a bit before opening one's mouth.
