Via Citizen Free Press -- Oberlin Assistant Professor of Politics and Comparative American Studies Jenny Garcia: "Even when theres violence, protests can make it a more salient issue and provide greater pressure on elected officials and candidates."
"Protests matters and when we see the destruction of buildings, when we see violence either by police or by protesters themselves we actually see greater response by elected officials
what we do know is that elected officials respond to pressure," she said.

Oberlin Assistant Professor of Politics and Comparative American Studies Jenny Garcia deserves all the mockery (mockeries?) and scorns. Because as a assistant professor of politics, she is totally clueless about revolution and its inherited violence and destruction.
“Comparative American Studies”
Hey Sweetie, that’s why I beat my wife. I get a better response from her when she knows what’s coming if she doesn’t make me a sammich.
And you get a ‘vigorous governmental response’ - jyst not the one you were seeking.
Oberlin Assistant Professor of Politics and Comparative American Studies Jenny Garcia should be charged with sedition.
Marxist/Communist “professors/masters” often show
a more human response after being indicted, or
at least tarred and feathered with dripping masks.
Would she say the same if blacks stormed abortion clinics and torched them all??Would she say the same if people went to congress and used lasers to blind the congress people?? Would she stand up and cheer for those????Would she be okay of students torched Oberlin college?????
Hey Sweetie, thats why I beat my wife. I get a better response from her when she knows whats coming if she doesnt make me a sammich.
I’m sure she’d be fine with those bakers burning down her college to speed up the lawsuit payment process.
yes, the police officer who knelt on george floyd was arrested. but the riots started after.
the officers involved with breonna taylor were arrested, yet the riots continue.
no one condones the killing of unarmed black men by the police. there is no end in sight to the riots.
i thinks the riots are for something else and not government responsiveness.
Along with the entire democrat party which gave material support to the violent riots.
This is why you dont give in to terrorists - PELOSI
can we take the gloves off now? You want to see change with violence you stupid communist?
Or if they came to her house?
Oh, they’d get a response out of her all right.
We see “greater response” sure. We also see VERY bad choices made.
People should consider "what is the end game?"
As you say, the police officers were arrested. The law was followed. There will be court proceedings. The wheels of justice move forward. That is as it should be.
What else do they want? Summary execution of the police officers? That's what a lynching is. What do the rioters hope to achieve? Their only real strategy must be tied to the election. This is just a political show by a dangerous political party.
lol
Maybe if they mowed down the politicians’ families they would get even more of their demands
insane
Unfortunately, what she says is true...at least in the short term. Then more radical revolutionists will destroy and consume the first revolutionists.
But who wants to live in a devastated, degraded and downright ugly place these bastards have ruined?
This is how Democrats think.
We have yet to grasp just how truly evil Democrats have become.
You think? Her thought process is so far from the truth it is difficult even to respond. If our political process is founded on violence as a means of getting a response from rulers, then the foundation becomes violence as a means to come to any agreement. Has she thought of the long-term effects of that? No.
She is only thinking that some concessions were made to what SHE and the violent protesters wanted. When it goes the other way, THEY will kill to stop the violence. Then, those on whom the killings were perpetrated will respond in like fashion. Pretty soon, you're living in Mexico. That type of cycle of violence never ends. Then, you become the Middle East. After that, you become North Korea. Nothing like thinking things through a bit before opening one's mouth.
You said it so much better than I did. Kudos.
Perhaps his home, street and neighborhood need to be liberated from the shackles of peace and contentment.
