Reports of Trumps SCOTUS picks failing to produce wins while Chief Justice John Roberts leads us straight to perdition by the chicken littles of the right apparently have been greatly exaggerated judging by the Supreme Courts 7-2 supermajority decision upholding President Donald J. On a vote like this roberts is safe from being the deciding vote, so its not an issue for him to vote this way
Our opinions of roberts is not based on one vote, its based on his pattern of voting and not coming through on key decisions when it was easy to
The ruling that absolutely gobsmacked me wasn’t a Roberts ruling, but Gorsuch voting with the libs to give half of Oklahoma back to an Indian tribe. How twisted and downright stupid is that?
Except the ruling didn't “give” half of Oklahoma to some Indian tribe. In practice, all it means is that serious crimes will be prosecuted by the feds Instead of by local or state prosecutors. That's about it really.
I dont get that ruling at all
