"'Scuse me while I kiss this guy..."
How about Or steal my daddy’s q and make a living out of playing fool. Q as in IQ
We Swifties have our own favorite misheards:
Starbucks lovers, Im a Barbie on the boardwalk, 100 donut speeches I never said to you.
I’ve always heard the words as “playing pool.”
Dunno how you got frying food. First time I heard the song I heard it as playing pool. What do you fry with a cue?
when my kids were little they heard “all your CoCo Puffs” (Santana) and “Broken Arms” instead of Steve Perry singing “open arms” So now i come to you, with broooken arms!
I never mistook the words in this song, but I did mis-hear lyrics to “Reach out in the Darkeness” so it sounded like “Freak out in the Garden”... once those words were in my mind, it made it very difficult to finally hear the real words.... kind of like how some of us see a headline and never bother to see what was actually in the article/story.
Maybe tonight
Maybe tonight, by the fire
All alone, you and I
Nothing around but the sound
Of my heart and your size...
Just got word that my tickets for him this summer are still good, for next year as they are postponing his tour 12 months. I thought it might be a fun show. There’s a show about his career on HULU that was interesting.
When I first heard it, I actually thought the lyric was, “Steal my daddy’s cue and make a living out of praying fools” - suggesting that his father was a preacher.
Oh, I could say I need you
But then you’d realize
That I want you
Just like a thousand other guys
Who’d say they loved you
Like all the rest of their lies
When all they wanted
Was to touch your face your hands
And gaze into your thighs
Can’t remember if I already asked but which one’s the old one?
;-)
And I think it's gonna be a long long time 'Till touch down brings me round again to find I'm not the man they think I am at home Oh no no no I'm a rocket man Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone
For decades I thought it was:
burning up the shoes off everyone
That didn't really make sense to me, but I thought it was a song about space, so maybe it was possible?...😏
