I look to science to try to provide an imperfect description of physical reality. That’s about it.

As I’ve pointed out before in this forum, science is not a belief. Anyone that refers to it in this manner doesn’t understand it, or expects others not to understand it.
Scientists are political. I believe science and logic, not scientists.

It was once noted that imposing discipline in the American soldier was much more difficult than it was for most non-American soldiers. American soldiers would argue and disagree with their superiors, and want to know a reason WHY they should do something, not merely blindly obey.

I have no problem with science, it’s the “interpreters” I sometimes have a problem with. Fauci immediately comes to mind, as do the various “global warming” proponents.

Yep, it was accurate in the day it was written, and even more so today. The end of that chapter has been writ large by the left since the ‘60s, and has unfortunately affected everyday Americans.
