New York City is experiencing a loss of population, jobs and a decline in commercial and residential real estate values. Foreigners are no longer investing in pricey urban real estate as a safe haven for their wealth. Businesses that can work via personal computers, the internet, zoom etc are realizing that they do not need large, expensive urban offices. Rich liberals, as expected are behaving like the hypocrites they are, and are moving out of the City. Most of the closed and ruined brick and mortar businesses will never re-open.
The Media will hide the truth as long as possible but when the financial shortfall begins to bite they will tell the rest of America how racist it is not to send the likes of Garcetti and DeBlasio their money to underwrite decadent, non viable Democrats.
