Only 5% of Black People Very Unhappy w/Local Police Department

As I noted in today's article, Law-and-Order African Americans Stand With Trump,

A Monmouth University poll however shows that 72% of African-Americans are satisfied with their local police departments. Despite what you're seeing on television, 21% of African-Americans are very satisfied with the local police and another 51% are satisfied.

Only 5% are very dissatisfied.

Another 12% are somewhat dissatisfied...I also note in the article that, "41% of African-Americans reported that they had an experience where a police officer had helped keep them or their family members safe in a dangerous situation. That's significantly higher than the 33% of white people and 21% of Hispanic people."

Wow, even I would not say I am very satisfied with my local police, mainly because I fortunately really haven't had a reason to encounter them.

I would say I am satisfied with them because I have no reason to think they are doing anything other than a decent job.

I am guessing that some black folks indicate they are very satisfied with police because they have needed them and had a positive encounter or because the police in their area are doing a good job with proactive outreach aimed at maintaining good community relations, something that isn't done or needed so much in predominantly white suburbs.

We’ve seen this polling in the African American community for many years - you remove the party label and just ask them questions issue by issue, they are not that far Left as their voting patterns suggest. They widely support school choice, for example. They are just miseducated by the media and the Democrats to keep them under their control.

Cops investigate murders of blacks committed by blacks. Eliminate the cops and there will be 50 times as many murders.
Cops investigate holdups and burglaries. Eliminate the cops and all businesses in black neighborhoods will close, giving them something else to whine about.

A few days ago, I saw a long-time local Houston black female newscaster named Melanie Lawson explain that she is “terrified” when she is stopped in her car by the police. Total BS. She’s no more terrified than I am (and who isn’t uneasy when the cops pull you over?). I guess she’s worrid they’ll pull her from her Lexus and lynch her because...Emmet Till?

THis is why I don’t want the police to abandon the inner cities. It makes us all happy and laugh when local “activist leaders” and “reverends” whine like little bi6CHes about police brutality. However, remember the bulk of these neighborhoods are loaded with good, honest,hard-working people who simply want to live their lives without being afraid to go outside.

This was from 2013- during obama's years- when deaths were far higher than they were last year- under Trumps presidency, only 2 black folks, unarmed, were shot and killed unjutifiably- and hte cops were sentenced and convicted for it- 9 black folks in all, unarmed, were shot- 7 of them were justifiable self defence by the police- meanwhile 19 whites unarmed were killed last year, and 54 cops lost their lives due to scumbags-
