Thanks for joining in on this discussion and adding a new word: favelaization of the DemonRat run cities. Anybody who has been to South America (particularly Rio) knows exactly what a favela is…. What started years ago as a housing project that has turned into a no go slum zone run by the local drug gangs.
Economically, the big blue cities can not afford to pay the union salaries/benefits and retirement pay of the police unions, teacher unions and other unionized so called city workers.
Then, the retirement/health care costs of retired cops/teachers/other union members are beyond being possible to pay.
So watch the BLM and other thug entities take over and fire the cops, teachers and other unionized city workers and default on the retirement funding of any previous city union person.

That was what happened to Baltimore and DC after the MLK riots destroyed block after block of black owned businesses and housing.
Nothing was rebuilt for at least 2+ decades. There are probably remnants of those burn and loot riots still in those 2 cities.

Sounds like a good model for blue urban America. Aren’t these the places where children pick through the garbage of the rich to find food? A useful skill in the food desserts that would be created in lawless areas.
Lots of slums in the countries of South America. I don’t think any of the other countries call them favelas and this probably is because the language of Brazil is Portuguese… in Peru, they are called pueblos jóvenes (which translates as young towns… some of them are not young anymore but so the name harks back to when they were created) and in Chile they call the campamento (which I think means ‘mushroom’ because of how fast they have sprung up). You mentioned Columbia…. in Ciudad Bolívar, Bogotá the term that most commonly gets used is ‘comunas’ or ‘barrios de invasion’…. which is translated as “neighbourhoods of invasion”.
This will have its good points. You just have to go as far as your Neighborhood Security Force headquarters, to get a hoe, drugs, stolen property, etc. I’ll bet you even be able to get the equivalent of a privateering charter - provided you give the NSF its cut. Yes sir. I see a lot of room for creative activity. Area access licenses, why not? Neighbouring security forces will learn to cooperate in order to share revenue.
