Yesterday, New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees was asked by a journalist if he would be taking a knee during the National Anthem now. In the past, he has declined to. He said:
I will never agree with anybody disrespecting the flag of the United States of America or our country. Let me just tell what I see or what I feel when the national anthem is played and when I look at the flag of the United States.

I say that as someone who thinks people were wrong to crack on Colin Kaepernick for his kneeling at the National Anthem. Whether I liked him doing it or not, I respected his right to protest. I also respect Drew Breess right to keep standing. Now, though, we see that there is only one opinion allowed. If you disagree, then even people who have worked with you for years will call you a racist. Thus, even a very rich and famous athlete can be brought to heel overnight.
I lost all respect for Brees. I think he also bended the knee because he is suppose to become an NFL analyst for Monday Night Football. I bet Disney called him and gave him an offer he could not use. We know who Brees is and what his price is for his dignity.
taking a knee means nothing
The nation is lost. Really, we’re headed for totalitarian rule by these people. If you think it’s bad now, you have no idea what it is going to be in the future.
Football . . . . let it go!
"Freedom" is just another word for "nothing left to lose."
Many people take to their Knee when they clean their Toilet
I need a cool climate...don't like the heat nor mugginess....
What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul
With this, and pictures of LEOs and National Guard people
“taking a knee” for thugs, I am fast reaching the place where Mizz Obama was before her husband got elected: I am almost at the point where I have no more respect for this country. I’m very troubled and sad.
more important question, is where do we move to
= = =
Nowhere to go to.
America was the last stop, for freedom.
As always....just follow the money trail.
Brees is no different than any of the other POSs in the NFL.
IF it weren’t for the ball, most of em would have been sent to prison for years.
See my tagline...
I stopped having respect for the herbivores years ago.
The herbivores told me my service was no longer required. SO be it. My oath is void; I will not defend them.
Thou shalt not take the name of Colin Kaepernick in vain.
Subservience is NOT PRETTY!
Imagine a country where everyone is forced to bend the knee and repeat these words...then make your plans for November 3rd.

I stand with the black community in the fight against systemic racial injustice and police brutality and support the creation of real policy change that will make a difference.
I condemn the years of oppression that have taken place throughout our black communities and still exists today.
I acknowledge that we as Americans, including myself, have not done enough to fight for that equality or to truly understand the struggles and plight of the black community.
...
I will never know what its like to be a black man or raise black children in America but I will work every day to put myself in those shoes and fight for what is right.
...
For that, I am very sorry and I ask your forgiveness.
- Drew Brees
Once you weaken...you’re done for. Pansied-out.
Until it is lost. Then you will say,”Roger Miller was full of shit”. Freedom is more precious than gold.
It was inevitable that the Leftist Thought Police would bring Brees to his knees. Resistance is futile.
Horrrrible!!!
