Yesterday a video surfaced from George Floyd as he was pinned down by a cop and later died.
It happened Monday night, when cops were responding to a forgery in progress. Police arrived and saw the suspect sitting in a car. According to the Department, the man resisted arrest so he was placed in handcuffs, adding he appeared to be suffering medical distress.
This has caused tensions around the country and things are not looking good.
The Minneapolis Police Department first requested an independent investigation by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, and later contacted the FBI as well after the force received additional information that indicated the incident could be a question of civil rights, Police Chief Medaria Arradondo said Tuesday.
Floyds family has reportedly retained the services of Benjamin Crump, a well-known civil rights attorney who previously represented the family of Michael Brown, a black teenager whose 2014 killing by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri, helped propel the Black Lives Matter movement into national prominence.
Arradondo announced that four officers involved in the incident had been fired Tuesday afternoon, which Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey said was the right call.
But a new video from a surveillance camera has surfaced and it might cause more tensions.
A nearby restaurant, Dragon Wok, captured the initial moments of Georges run-in with Minneapolis police on a camera set up outside. Based on the video, this started as a traffic stop of some sort, which ended with George being led away in cuffs.
The video shows 2 vehicles parked curbside, and eventually, 2 officers approach one of the cars and ask everyone to step out. A man and a woman emerge from the passenger side, while George is taken out by another officer on the drivers side seemingly struggling at first.
The cops get George to stand up and lead him over to the sidewalk where they sit him down. He isnt doing a whole lot of resisting the rest of the way.

Two of the cops fired over the arrest of black man George Floyd have already been investigated for their roles in previous use-of-force incidents, its been revealed.
Derek Chauvin, 44, the officer filmed kneeling on Floyds neck during his arrest, is a 19-year veteran of the force who was investigated over a fatal police shooting in 2006.
Chauvin was investigated for his role in the 2008 shooting of Ira Latrell Toles during a domestic assault call. Toles was wounded after police said he went for an officers gun and Chauvin shot him.
Two years earlier Wayne Reyes, 42 was killed by officers after allegedly pulling a shotgun on the six cops, which included Chauvin, The Star Tribune reports.
A second officer involved in Mondays arrest, Tou Thao, is said to been part of a $25,000 out of court settlement after being sued for using excessive force in 2017.
In a lawsuit obtained by the DailyMail.com shows Thao was sued for using excessive force in an arrest where he was accused of punching and kicking a handcuffed suspect until his teeth broke. In any case, there is no need for people to spark racial tension as an Asian-American was also involved in the case. this is just police brutality and its something that needs to concern all of us no matter the race!

Why doesn’t the enemedia mention that almost all these cop killings happen in Rat run cities and towns? Freddie Gray - Baltimore, Eric Garner - NYC, Michael Brown - Ferguson, Democrap Brian Fletcher was Mayor at the time and now this guy George Floyd in the Rat run city of Minneapolis.
And now the Celebretards are blaming Trump. It does seem sort of odd to be blaming Trump and his supporters when most of if not all these killings happen under the watch of Democraps. Maybe I should post this question on Twitter, but I’ll probably be banned again.
This was not a split second decision. That officer chose to suffocate Floyd for 5-7 minutes. He died as a result. His actions directly caused Floyds death. If you or I did that, wed be in jail right now. I could give a damn about the state of affairs in our country deciding how I react. What was done to him was horrific.
I often am one who says theres more to the story or why didnt the guy just listen. It doesnt apply here. That cop is one evil and horrific piece of scum. He needs to be behind bars today.
This is NOT your typical liberal pretending to be a victim.
Horrified but not surprised as it yet another area run 100% by Democrats. Every cop killing I can think of happened in areas run by Democrats. Freddie Gray - Baltimore, Eric Garner - NYC, Michael Brown - Ferguson in which Democrap Brian Fletcher was Mayor at the time and now this guy George Floyd in the Rat run city of Minneapolis under Democrat Jacob Frey.
I don’t know why this is the case, but it ticks me off how it’s ignored and Republicans are blamed. The usual celebretards all day have been posting on Twitter blaming this on Trump, they even posted a fake photo making the cop out to be a racist Trump supporter and of course Twitter doesn’t take it down........
But it's all OK, because the officers thought they were going home and getting to keep their jobs and pensions, right?
Shove it. Sideways.
This didn't look bad.
It IS bad.
A real actual citizen is dead.
By being killed not in an "OMG-split-second-to-react can't judge with 2020 hindsight" instant, but a slow, deliberate, prolonged death, with bystanders shouting "you're killing him!" or words to that effect, while his violent thug buddies ran interference.
Anyone else would already be incarcerated without bail awaiting arraignment on murder one.
See, the guy's literally DEAD.
"Like going to sleep forever."
Not posturing for the cameras.
Can't you tell the difference?
This is literal-text what the Constitution was supposed to guard against.
Oh, so you’re a GOOD German.
Sod off, Karen.
IBTZ vermin.
On the off chance you're blowing smoke, since I seem to remember you've been around as a reputable FReeper for awhile, did you bother to watch the whole video?
I did and it changed my mind. This was straight up literal murder. In public.
The arrest appeared necessary. The other circumstances appear a little dubious.
None of the killers or accomplices (lookout / muscle) are showing any disheveled hair or clothing, no heavy breathing, no signs of a struggle.
And the knee on the neck is long after he is on the ground and cuffed, and after bystanders are shouting "you're killing him" or words to that effect.
This was in real time, not staged by lefty camera crews.
Deadly force is disproportionate once the guy is cuffed, on the ground, and not moving.
This was murder, slowly, in public, in front of witnesses, with a couple of now-ex-cops running interference so nobody could help the victim, and trying to cut off good camera shots too.
Who puts their hands in their pockets while asphyxiating a man to death?
Oh, you were in charge of those policemen?
Thank God they got fired. But just a couple of days too late for this victim.
Same back at you! I am still waiting for a cause of death to be released. And video of what happened immediately before the knee went on the neck.
Did you have some kind of remote control device where you could control that policeman from a distance?
It doesn't matter what happened before.
This wasn't a split second thing.
None of the ex-cops clothes are disheveled, nor their hair.
Several of the ex-cops had their backs turned to the guy as their partner killed him.
If the victim was a thread, the lookout ex-ccps would still have been helping subdue him, or at least facing the threat.
Once he's on the ground, and cuffed and unarmed, deadly force is out of the question.
Deliberate, cool, self-masturbatory, enjoying it, murder, from every video I've been able to see. And who in HELL puts their hands in their pockets while asphyxiating an unarmed victim?
If I did, I'd have sent him over to your house so you could reminisce together.
