White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany is an expert at pointing out the hypocrisy of the media. The latest victim of her Truth Barb was none other than Fredo Cuomo who slammed President Trump for using hydroxychloroquine. However, as McEnany pointed out, poor Fredo actually used a much more dangerous drug during his phony basement quarantine.

She’s on a stage, so stage makeup is appropriate; including false eyelashes. Maybe she doesn’t have any real eyelashes.

It irritates me too
A lot of young adults around here. The girls look up to role models. They have accomplishments to meet. Projects, talks, papers to write, degrees, interviews. They have ideas to bring to completion. They need to see women who are respected in these areas, what qualities to develop
One of them says, ‘I got through that grad school zoom interview without saying ‘um’,
These girls know from watching women speakers that and immodesty puts them into a different realm. Too much makeup is fine. It’s a little bit silly. It’s also very easy to overcome. Boys hate that and they’ll say something. One, ‘what is it? Clown day?’ from a fellow middle schooler, a respected boy to girl, will send the girl scrambling to the makeup remover after getting home.
‘Um’ is a habit to break. Not so easy.
If a girl can see a woman speaker get through without relying on ‘um’ she can see the difference in the way she herself listens more attentively and will automatically work on that if she strives to be respected
Sara Sanders went out there after spicer left. She wore a bright dark pink high neck dress with a big pearl necklace. She commanded the room. Never said ‘eh’, ‘um’, or ‘you know’. People hung onto every word. That takes practice. Like a good athlete. Like a pitcher.
To me, Kayleigh is not up there with any greats unless she stops doing that.
The ambitious girls around here with their trained ears would agree. .

That’s what ended the relationship between my FIL and his daughter. He criticized her for saying, “Um”, too much and that was the end of it. They never spoke again and both died without mending things. (BTW, both of them were jerks with similar personalities — go figure.)

Yet she’s effective. The RATs attack Trump for his presentation style and ignore the fact that he’s saving America. It’s terrible.
It takes a lot of courage, patience and game theory to get a girl to act in a way tgat gets her the respect that she wants, needs and is otherwise stompy foot about.
You make my point. Berating is destructive in any situation. Demonstration with the intent of nurturing is the way to go. Kayleigh does not help.
I use role models. When a girl sees a Sara sanders commanding tre room she will quickly dissect it to learn what it is she can do to get the same effect. naturally she will be more attentive to a Strong woman speaker who does not rely on a crutch words.
It’s just my view. She would be more effective if she would just say what’s on her mind
Trump, you can bring in to the conversation like any one here wanting to defend Kayleigh out of the infatuation that has taken hold.
However, Trump not only doesn’t say ‘um’, ever, he is a commanding speaker. People hang on to every word. He commands a crowd of tens of thousands over an hour and a half with no tele. Repeatedly

And he can say anything he wants as far as I’m concerned. He’s an accomplished, highly successful businessman who has improved and created architectural structures. He’s a Wharton grad. I am sure the alumni from Wharton, three of whom I know in my family and friends circle, do not use the interjection as a crutch. Men learn that competitively. Women would do well to do the same instead of relying on favoritism and infatuations instead of the things men and successful women do to compete. For instance, speaking clearly.
II hear from women who complain about Trump tweeting etc. I tell them I understand that people are annoyed with it however it doesn’t bother me at all. They respond, ‘well, it doesn’t bother me either but it bothers everyone else’
Not really. It bothers Dems because it is effective for trump.
I totally get what you’re saying, and you and I probably you grew up similarly. In that light, Sarah is that perfect girl. Sadly, things have changed.

I love everything about Sarah, but I didn’t see her “commanding the room” very often. WE liked what she said and how she said it. WE liked her pearls and her traditional look. But the “effect” she got from the press critters was abysmal. They were ruthless and attacked her mercilessly. She would argue back and forth with them until everything got out of control. (It’s much like when they’re interacting with POTUS, neither of whom they respect.)
I think that when a girl sees how the press handles Sarah the girl would be embarrassed for her and NOT want to have her as a role model in that position. She’s too classy for that position, i.e., mixing it up with bottom-feeding entities.
I see them behaving more respectfully overall when Kayleigh is running the show. She’ll respond to them with absolute facts, not argue amidst chaos, and then she’ll leave. She does look like a bimbo, but the press likes that. (At least she’s OUR bimbo, and a bold smart one at that.) She handles them and that’s what we need. I don’t think she “berates” them at all, unless giving them facts to counter their lies is berating.
If respect is the goal, Sarah never got it. Kayleigh tames them.

That’s just wrong. Youtube, etc., needs to be looked at in a different light, i.e., maybe a utility, considering the monopoly they hold. That’s not to say another organization — a fair one — couldn’t come in and establish a competitor. It would take some major money but, more than that, a kick-ass rollout with major advertising and glitz would be most important.

i teach boy scouts communications, and in a 5 minute speech, one poor scout used um 26 times... at 2 seconds per um, that was nearly a full minute, or 20 percent of his speech... i gave him the option of giving me another minute of speech or 26 pushups... he took the pushups.
i try to get them to think the um instead of verbalizing it.
