In light of the nursing home disaster in New York, what kind of a ghoul would take that as an example to emulate instead of a baleful death warning to avoid, and then order contagious COVID-19 patients into her state's nursing homes?
Only Michigan's hard-faced Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, the ambitious Democrat who banned sales of garden seeds to Michiganders, saying she's doing it in the name of keeping everyone 'safe.'
'Safe' to Whitmer is seeding the nursing homes with COVID-19 patients, supposedly as a means of lightening the loads of hospitals. Too bad if granny gets it. Under Whitmer's executive order, which she just extended yesterday for a week, any nursing home with less than 80% capacity will be forced to create special COVID units, regardless of their ability to protect their other patients, with the special ventilation systems, trained staff, and personal protective gear something like that would require even if it were advisable, and none of which are included in her order.

I’ve got family in Michigan including two kids and my mother in law.
My daughter just had to take her Grandma to the hospital due to a COPD attack today. She hasn’t been in contact with anyone at all for 2-3 months so COVID isn’t a concern. She’s staying overnight and then should go back home.

Why is she doing this? Is she dumber than Joe Biden or simply an evil murderous bitch? What she is doing I think legally could be considered negligent homicide. I am not a lawyer but invite comment from a lawyer.

Cuomo and Whitmer have a massive scandal of their own making by direct order - while hospital beds remain available and unused - putting these patients which the MOST vulnerable population. There can be no defense for this. And the increased deaths are blamed on President Trump when he has absolute nothing to do with these orders issued by Democrat governors.
I heard over the radio that the state of Washington, Gov. Inslee, is also sending Covid patients back to nursing homes. I’m not sure how true that is; but, it is Jay Inslee, so I am prone to believe he would do such a thing.
Are you really trying to make a point that sending sick people to nursing homes is a good idea?

No. I have no idea how you came to that conclusion. It is quite apparent that several governors (Cuomo in NY, Murphy in NJ, and now Whitmer in MI) deliberately forced nursing homes to take in people who were sick. That is inexcusable, though none of them will likely be held to account for it in any way.
Half-whitmer needs to be behind bars.

I wonder if this is the moment for the well armed and regulated militia of Michigan to remind their governor that the US Constitution has not been suspended. The Bill of Rights is still in effect.

The corrupt media attacked the doctor at that Texas nursing home. They called him irresponsible and reckless. They also blamed his political beliefs and called him a Trump associate. The media was trying to dissuade other nursing home doctors from saving the lives of elderly patients. They have just as much blood on their hands as the democrat governors.
I guess all the far left governors are doing it. Here in CA, Newsom is bribing senior care facilities $1,000/day per bed to take in COVID patients. I guess he figures if they take the money, they assume the legal accountability. Our hospitals are nowhere near capacity.
