My fellow Republican senators have tried to see things from the Speakers point of view, but we cant get our heads that far up our rear ends. Louisiana Senator John Kennedy on Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo just now, talking about Pelosis $3 trillion stimulus bill atrocity.
Oops, he did it again. Remember how serial alarmist Anthony Fauci warned that we would see a spike in Wuhan Virus cases in states that opened up their economies early? Yeah, thats not happening, according to HHS Secretary Alex Azar. Appearing on CNNs State of the Union program with Snake Jake Tapper, Azar had this to say about that:
VDO.AI We are seeing that in areas that are opening, were not seeing the spike in cases. We still see spikes in some areas that are, in fact, closed, very localized situations. And so this is going to be very important for us to watch the circumstances on the ground. With reopening, whats the key to reopening?
Thus, as with every other prediction Fauci has made related to this Chinese plague over the past four months, he turns out to have been wrong. When are we going to quit listening to this guy?
Rand Paul is certainly grown weary of Faucis faulty advice. In a weekend interview with NewsMax TVs Greg Kelly, Senator Paul had this to say about Faucis contention that we need to keep schools closed through the fall semester:
The future is difficult and we shouldnt assume that one guy with a Ph.D. or an M.D. knows everything about the future, he said.
Every school was closed and not one kid was sick in Kentucky. Is that an overreach? I dont know, Paul added. We have 600,000 people out of work in Kentucky now. Weve got devastating numbers where were gonna bankrupt the state again on unemployment, even though weve given $3 trillion out.
Theres not enough money in China, theres not enough money to be printed at the Federal Reserve. Weve gotta open the economy and we have to be reasonable about this. We cant wait for perfection. Thats my gripe with Dr. Fauci. Not that hes a disingenuous person or he doesnt have the right motives. I think he does. I think he wants whats best for the country. But so do I, and we have to have a debate over whether we keep the economy closed. I dont think it can go on forever.
[End]
Senator Paul is right.
Perfect example of how Democrats behave in the face of adversity. Fascist California Governor Gavin Newsom is being quoted today by The Hill as promising that first reponders will be the first ones laid off by cities and counties if congress doesnt provide a bailout for blue states like California that have been mismanaged by Democrats for decades and now find themselves on the brink of bankruptcy.
There are literally hundreds of budget items in any city or county government that can be cut instead of laying off first responders. But Democrat mayors, city councils and county governments invariably, without fail, resort to laying off law enforcement and firefighters first any time spending must be addressed. They do this for two reasons: 1) because fighting fires and crime are their lowest personal priorities, and 2) in order to make the process of cutting a budget as painful as possible on the community they govern.
In making his promise to The Hill, Newsom is simply following the standard Democrat playbook.
Speaking of thuggish Democrat governors, Fox has a really good report detailing the fact that several of them are now facing a string of lawsuits challenging their clearly unconstitutional orders. Newsom alone is facing at least a dozen such suits.
And it isnt just Democrat mayors who are being challenged. Buried way down in this piece is a paragraph discussing the fact that Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is threatening to file actions against several big-city Democrat mayors and county judges over their 0wn efforts to enforce public restrictions that exceed those issued by Governor Greg Abbott. Abbott will hold a press conference Monday afternoon outlining his own plans for moving forward, and Im told he will address this matter during that conference.
Meanwhile, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is coming under fire for his Sunday comments about thousands of elderly citizens dying in his states nursing homes.:
Daily Caller ✔ @DailyCaller New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo:
Older people, vulnerable people are going to die from this virus. That is going to happen despite whatever you do
Embedded video 1,321 4:14 PM - May 17, 2020 Twitter Ads info and privacy 2,026 people are talking about this We worked it out so we always had available beds. Nobody was deprived of a bed or medical coverage in any way. And still people died. Still people died. Older people, vulnerable people are going to die from this virus. That is going to happen, despite whatever you do.
Prior to that passage, Cuomo had defended his decision in March to force his states nursing homes to admit infected patients, an action that no doubt resulted in thousands of other elderly patients in those homes contracting COVID-19 and dying. In defending his decision, Cuomo said no one is to blame, and no one should go to jail for having caused those deaths.
How to react to this? Well, first, try to imagine the uproar you would be hearing today had President Trump issued the order that Cuomo issued. The cacophony would be overwhelming, and we would already have impeachment proceedings taking place in the House of Representatives.
But because Cuomo is a protected Democrat, the corrupt, mainstream media is essentially silent on this matter, and has been for weeks as the scandal has percolated.
But second, note that Cuomo is to some extent correct here. Older people, vulnerable people with underlying health conditions, are most at-risk from this virus, and are going to die from it. Note also that, according to the Dept. of Health and Human Services, the average remaining life span of an elderly person admitted into a nursing home in this country is a stunning 5 months. Thus, many of the thousands of New York nursing home residents whose deaths have counted as COVID-19 would have died in any event, and a high percentage of them really died from another cause.
That having been said, all of that reality ultimately condemns Cuomos approach to the matter. The proper response to this virus in the first place would have been to focus resources on protecting nursing home patients and others among the most vulnerable. Thats what governors like Floridas Ron DeSantis and other Republicans did, and their states have not experienced anything like the problems in nursing homes that New York has seen.
Instead, Cuomo shut down his entire state, depriving millions of jobs and shutting down hundreds of thousands of businesses that will never come back. Even worse, he actively ordered infected patients to be embedded among the most vulnerable of all in his states nursing homes.
Cuomos rationalizations notwithstanding, someone is responsible. If he wants to know who, he should look in a mirror.
That is all.
I’m betting we will soon hear out of Fauci’s own mouth....”no masks”.
Money quote from Rand Paul:
“Every school was closed and not one kid was sick in Kentucky. Is that an overreach? I dont know, Paul added. We have 600,000 people out of work in Kentucky now. Weve got devastating numbers where were gonna bankrupt the state again on unemployment, even though weve given $3 trillion out.

Their direct roles in these deaths strikes me as something you’d expect from rabid supporters of the original obamacare. The consignment of sick elders to the petri dishes of the nursing homes seems little more than the death panels in action. One has every reason to believe that cuomo and de bloviate were thinking in terms of saved dollars by doing away with people they almost assuredly considered drains on public funds.
The best image ever was Dr. Faggot, standing behind Trump, looking stupid with his facial maxipad, NOT SAYING A DAMN THING. As it should be.

I find that view to be very cruel, to say the least. No wonder the threat of a wrongful death lawsuits could haunt both Cuomo and De Blasio soon.
I know first hand. A friend head administrator nurse in a NY nursing home told me she refused infect patients and was told if you get in the way of this you will lose your job! At the time no one was sick at her facility she lost 50 elderly patience in 2 weeks after being infected
That is devastating.
I wish your friend well.
It is difficult to be a person of conscience these days.
He didn’t just send sick patients back.
Up until a couple of weeks ago, he allowed positive staffers to continue working.
No, it really isn't. Not for folks who truly have one.
China controls the media profits. Disney needs its movies and theme parks to do well in China. Same with Universal which is owned by Comcast which also owns NBC and MSNBC. These companies need China for profits. China controls them. And China controls the idots that leave on CNN and MSNBC all day long. Fortunately Fox is in countries that are kind of normal, Australia, UK and America. They sold off their studio. So they can be far better about their news. Not perfect, but better.
I’d argue not even better, except for that 3 hour weeknight time period that won’t be a problem after contracts expire..
Sorry Andy, you didn’t govern these seniors, your actions willfully murdered them. There is a difference between the two.
“No wonder the threat of a wrongful death lawsuits could haunt both Cuomo and De Blasio soon.”
As well it should. Liberal officials in at least three states - CA. PA and NY - have forced elderly COVID patients into nursing home petri dishes, when they should have known the risks. My view is that they knew the risks and opted for savings; a death panel by any other name...
If they didn’t know, they they’re too stupid to hold office.
It gets worse.
Cuomo ordered more testing of staff at these facilities.
But he’s told the facilities that they will have to pay for the requite testing, that the state will NOT pick up the tab.
This after Cuomo sent infected patients back and allowed infected staff to continue working.
