It appears, even at current new case daily levels, that the US will top 100,000 deaths from the coronavirus sometime near the beginning of June. And worse, recent numbers of new cases have been increasing for the last several days. We all want to get back to business as usual, but let's be careful out there folks!

•Purple line is actual case numbers offset by 14 days.

Note NY’s state numbers though. Something doesn’t seem right with NY.
1. The site you quote actually shows a rapidly decreasing number of cases; moreso if you look at trends and not the noisy individual days’ figures.
2. You’ve got a model that predicts fewer cases following the trend at worldometers but elect to stop your projection at one of the high points.
3. The death numbers, even inflated and conflated with everything that has a letter in common with coronavirus, are dropping rapidly and don’t support your model.
4. The states that are opening (e.g. GA) aren’t spiking in cases or deaths.
Conclusion: we must open up now, treat whatever happens with the treatments we have now and those with preliminary greenlighting (that’s your Hydro+Zpak+Zinc and your Ren) and recall governors who get in the way.

My wife’s mom is in very similar circumstances.
So far so good.
I have my Mother-in-law in a nursing home for advanced care, and NOBODY ever washes hands in that place. In fact they don’t give soap to the residents because some drink the liquid soap or eat the solid soap.
Case numbers are actual, but offset 14 days. The graph projects number of deaths, based on several factors, including number of cases, but not cases - the purple line is actual case # as reported by WOM - just offset.
They may do as they like, but it is my intent to stay clear of this bug for as long as possible. My reasons for wanting to do so are as follows.
1. They may develop a vaccine if I can hold out long enough.
2. Herd immunity might develop in the larger population if I hold out long enough.
3. Viruses normally decrease in lethality over time, and if I can hold out long enough, there is a good chance that if I do eventually catch it, I will end up with an evolved less lethal less damaging strain.
Your millage may vary.

If swine flu was compressed into a period of 2 months. If this keeps up for the entire period swine flu remained active, it will have many times the death rate of swine flu.
