Since this video's release Ive been hounded by comments telling me to take my video down, that I should have waited for the facts, I'm a race-baiter, I look stupid, he broke the law, etc, etc, etc.
So, since the release of this video have my opinions changed?
Well, lets find out.
Here is something that no one seems to be considering.
When you belligerently chase someone down with a gun, you can’t claim self defense, since you initiated it.
Jeez Louise Nick, do I have to do everything? He went for them! The ‘jogger’ knew the police were coming , he could have sat down and waited, but then he would have been picked up for breaking his parole. He went for it. Bad optics but self defence under the law.
Nick, you are on the wrong side of this argument. Do a reset, use only facts, logic, and the law IN THAT STATE, and I assure you we will be in agreement.
The consequences were predictable.
The jogger did not know the police were coming. If two thugs in a truck accosted you, how would you know the police were coming? Certainly they wouldn't be in time to save your life.
By the way, the police are not stupid. When they have someone caught in this many lies, and changing their story this many times, they know somethings up.
And, by the way, the police have already been investigating the connection between the victim and the killer. There was some connection from the past. So, they know what the motive is.
The law in Georgia allows for citizen’s arrest if they witnessed the commission of a crime. I’ve read nothing to indicate that the shooters caught the victim in the act of committing a crime. Even if the victim had been stealing from construction sites (and the shooters had no way to know this), it would be a misdemeanor - and Georgia law requires the commission of a felony for citizens to detain anyone.
Bingo
In the U.S. we still have the right to defend ourselves.
At the original scene of the crime the father and son made no mention of seeing any crime. They just forgot?
Also, when the victim was on the construction site, he wouldn't have been committing trespass unless he was asked to leave. Plus, this father and son didn't know the owner, so they had no way of knowing if the victim had permission from the owners.
If you're walking, or jogging, or trotting down the street and as you pass a parked truck a stranger pointing a gun at you or even holding a gun surprises you.
What assumptions do you make in that split second?
Do you assume he's a good guy with a gun?
Do you feel threatened?
Do you reasonably believe your life my be in danger because a stranger with a gun is standing in front of you?
How would you react in that split second?
Would you stand there waiting for the stranger with the gun to make a move?
Would you act to defend yourself by removing the threat by trying to take the gun from the stranger?
It’s a fact that the District Attorney prevented the police from arresting the killers for two months. It’s a fact that he was forced to recuse himself because he was friends with the killers. Do you deny that?
I expect a courteous apology from you once the passion had abated and the truth comes out. Why? Because you are a nice guy. You somehow landed on the wrong side of this discussion. G’nite
Fair enough. If I was wrong I will apoligize.
Straw man logic. Piss off.
And what law you think gives someone the right to chase me, or anyone, with a gun and threaten me.
Yep, he also ran UP TO the truck from behind, not away from it. I am astonished by some of the comments on here.
