It shows a man who appears to be Arbery entering and walking around a house being built. The men who killed Arbery told police they were concerned about break-ins.
There is no evidence of the shotgun being pointed at him before he assaulted the McMichael who had the shotgun.
Yes, it does, first because it can help explain his mindset to jurors, as to why he would attack an armed man.
Second, because the McMichaels may have know of these facts, which figure into their mindset.
You keep tossing that word around. Unless you can show some reasonable evidence that they went out intending to kill him, then you are spouting libel.
Pure speculation on your part. It is on the edge of slander.
Even id the guy was looking around in that unfinished house I can still see no case for a couple guys in a truck to confront him and shoot him. They could have called the cops.
I guarantee you that has NEVER happened to you.
I have had similar things happen to me a couple of times.
Significant differences were: I was openly armed, and the people showing me the attention were police officers.
I was exercising.
Once, I went past the police car. They re-positioned and asked me to stop, they wished to talk to me. I stopped and talked. They checked me out and I proceeded.
Another time it was one officer who kept up with me in his car, and asked me to stop, which I did.
Two other times the officers were on foot, and politely asked to talk.
Oh? They didn’t jump in their truck and take off after him?
They didn’t carry a shotgun with them with the intent to arrest him?
They didn’t confront him with the shotgun?
Which part didn’t happen?
Aubrey’s deliberate attack, clearly recorded on video, eliminates his presumption of “self-defense” and changes the event into “mutual combat”.
Absolutely not
How can he defend himself against a group of armed vigilantes who intentions were to shoot and kill him?
He has to attack and hopefully overcome the shotgun guy or shot gun guy shoots and kills him. Not much of a choice here.
This is murder or felony murder in the state of Georgia.
Gun are for self defense, hunting, target practice, they are not a license for every day citizens to go and chase down people they think are criminals, they are not a license to play cop.
You are labeling things as "fact" which are highly debated and not at all clear.
We do not know they "murdered" a man.
We do not know they did anything illegal.
The facts we do know support an interpretation they did not murder a man or do anything illegal.
Looks to me like the “dead perp” was defending himself from two yahoos who decided to take the law into their own hands. Which is compounded by the fact that they never witnessed a crime to begin with.
So they were to let the perp get away and take the highly likely chance (based on him being seen there previously, that he returns to the neighborhood while mcmichael is gone to work and his wife and or kids left there to deal with it?
This was on a sunday. If you dont think he’d return when the med are gone you’re crazy.
Are you advocating hunting them down and killing them? You seem excited about that.
I’ve done it lots of times. Curiosity. See whats being built.
Under Georgia law, they are accused of Felony Murder
Under Georgia law, they admit they did not have immediate knowledge nor witnessed a crime committed of a man running/jogging whatever down there street
Under Georgia law, they admit to conducting a citizen’s arrest, they hunted the man they believe committed crimes but not exactly what crime he committed, tried to hold him at gun point, their “arrest” went wrong and they killed the man in the process
That is murder pal, actually it is a pretty open/close case of murder.
So we have the right to murder people because they “might” commit a crime in the future?
Asking for a friend
Under Georgia law, they admit to conducting a citizen’s arrest, they hunted the man they believe committed crimes but not exactly what crime he committed, tried to hold him at gun point, their “arrest” went wrong and they killed the man in the process
Both of the above assertions are disputed.
The initial assertion by the first prosecutor made clear the elder McMichael claimed probably cause.
I have never seen it asserted they tried to hold Arbery at gun point.
Could you provide a link for that?
I have a CCW in the state of Florida. I will not chase down and confront a stranger on suspicion of B&E. Hell, I will not shoot someone running out of my house with a TV. I will ONLY fire on another human being if my live is being directly threatend.
I do not drink alcohol and do not take drugs.....which I think is often a contributing factor for some of this cowboy shit.
In private neighborhoods when no one is there? If you had seen someone calling the cops on you would have bolted like ya butt on fire?
Did you prowl around the neighborhood previously getting spotted by neighbors and caught on surveillance? Did you enter a property that had been target of recent thefts?
EXCEPT....he took off because he got busted in the home. Thieves who get caught usually dont keep going with their loot. And it’s doubtful he would’ve attempted to take anything anyways but VERY likely he was casing the place. However, the neighbors couldn’t be sure and based on his
