Dr. Anthony Fauci appeared on Chris Cuomo's CNN show Monday night and shared that he was in contact with the host while he was infected by the coronavirus. Fauci said the two have known each other since Cuomo was a "kid" and told him he was worried and that is why he kept calling.
"I have spoken to you, almost without exception, every day," Cuomo said to Fauci.
"I was worried about you, that's the reason why I kept calling," Fauci said. "You were going through some difficult times."
"I don’t think that people were really experiencing or realizing how you were really sucking it up to look relatively normal," he (Dr. Fauci) said. ...

I believe the POTUS is aware. All about the timing I think. If he did it now the lefty media would attempt to use it against him (of course). I think it’ll be more of a “phase him out” kinda thing.

Fauci isn't the head of the CDC. He's also isn't one of ‘Obama’s people’. He's a long-term politico who is head of the NIAID (National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases). He's been in that position for ~36 years (appointed in 1984 - when Reagan was President).
He's part of an entrenched culture at the NIH that is generally very liberal. If you're conservative and work at the NIH, you probably don't talk about it. If you are overtly conservative there, it is highly unlikely you will ever be promoted to a position of power/oversight.

Not once did Trump have even one of the many credible experts who questioned Fauci’s conclusions at any of the briefings. In fact I have never heard Trump even mention any of them.
Of course he is, I have 100% certainty of that. He said so at one of the pressers, basically muttering under his breath about one of Fauci's thousands of media appearances
Maybe Fauci should have told Cuomo to quarantine in the attic, instead of the basement, given the study about SARS in apartment buildings. It might have protected his kid somewhat.
