No logical person would take the fish tank cleaner. Logical people can hear and read that hydroxy is effective. Logical folks know and can read up on what the President was talking about in regard to UV light and disinfectant.

Or it could be that HCL has been prescribed to tens of millions of people over the past 50 years and was considered so safe (until Trump mentioned it) that as recently as last year it was routinely prescribed to Americans going on vacation in India or parts of Africa.
For what it's worth, I took it when I went to India and the doctor didn't even tell me there might be side effects (there weren't any). Just "India? Oh you'll need these shots and an anit-malerial prescription. Have a nice trip!"
