...I do not know what will happen over the summer or beyond. Nobody does. No honest person could ever claim to. But I fear more for my liberty than my life. Like Patrick Henry, I would rather die than live under the crushing weight of anybody's boot. This isn't courage. It is nothing more than sheer hard-bitten realism. A virus can only kill me but Big Brother's prying eye and heavy fist can make my life a misery to the end of my days. History has no shortage of examples.
Death is unavoidable. I must believe that totalitarianism, at least, is not.

I am seeing less posts by the terrified but they are still here. I’m wondering about some of the big ones who posted a lot of threads and terrified posts and then disappeared. If they had some sort of agenda to begin with.
Probably not. Maybe they just got tired of getting bashed :-)
I’m right along there with those thoughts. They will not fix thousands of problems in this country and then abuse the innocent. It is beginning.
It’s a very good essay. Thank you for posting.
Too many don’t understand or appreciate freedom or what’s necessary to do to maintain it and won’t understand if/when it goes away.
I’ve noticed this too.
Someday, I keep telling myself, I’m going to get out a legal pad and look up their posting histories and take some notes.
A Nation Suspended. Yes.

Here in Washington State where the first deaths occurred, construction workers are not considered to be doing essential work, but pot store employees are considered essential.
I noted a month ago that states that had legalized marijuana were suffering a disproportionate number of deaths from Covid-19 compared to states where it was still illegal. And indeed even our leftist buddies at CNN have noted that smoking pot increases your risk of dying from corona-virus.

People who are distributing a substance that increases people's risk of dying from this are considered essential workers while those who do the work that keeps our country going are not. It is insanity!
As I walked through Huntington Beach yesterday, I saw that in several restaurants people were sitting at tables and eating even though they’re not supposed to be doing that. Despite the fearmongering of the Lamestream Media, the general public is becoming aware that Wuhan flu is not the bubonic plague. When the public loses its fear of the virus, Newsom’s grip will be broken.
Big crowds on the National Mall today.
I think we were right to stop the spread, and allow the GOV to stop the spread till late april, but enough is now enough. The weather is turning here in PA.
It reads like a seventh grader wrote it.
Me too, although I'll fight to the death for my liberty.
“Big crowds on the National Mall today”.
That sounds good.
hey paesan! How you been man?
Interesting times we live in.
Fine, thanks and I hope all is well with you.
It’s crazy. I’ve never been so disgusted and po’d in my almost 70 years. These evil bastards must be stopped.
This.
