I have assembled a comparison of President Washington's first Inaugural Address in 1789 with Donald Trump's equivalent:
https://freedom-demokrasi-and-civilised-humanity.com/2020/05/01/washington-and-trump/
Who was the better communicator?
Which president was more democratic?
Trump shut down the country. Washington refused to accept being a monarchy. Washington wins.
WASHINGTON didnt have Twitter.
#DeedsNotWords
#TheBritishSuck
Washington wrote his inaugural address. Trump has his written for him
Why make these dumb comparisons? “Washington, First in war, first in peace, and first in the hearts of his countrymen.” - Henry Lee.
In other news, were Comanche warriors better fighters than Greek hoplite soldiers from the Peloponnesian wars?
Any comparison between Washington and Trump is an exercise in silliness, like those rankings of the 10 “best” Presidents. Utterly meaningless.
"Washington first in war, first in peace, and last in the American League," - Sportswriter Charles Dryden
Washington started the country on a path. Revolutionary socialists, and postwar nazis in intelligence community have been in battle and have shredded the Republic.
Trump is fighting to restore the Republic Washington helped create.
They are equals.
And I broke an FR rule and read your link. That was amazingly done! Great job.
Honestly, if we were not living under a manure spreader of propaganda, this is the kind of quotes we WOULD see about President Trump.
Kudos.
there is no doubt Trump is defending Washington’s legacy
thnaks
Play some audio from GW and let’s see.
Oh my God.
Please don’t do this.
Washington wouldn’t do that.
He was very big on decorum and not shooting off his mouth - much less through a very public channel.
Has YOUTUBE banned those news clips of Washingtons speeches.
Recommend you take a quick look at his link. It puts Trump in a different light than you might expect.
I think you forgot to post a link ........
No, it states he is better at communicating.
Which especially saying GW sounds like Jane Austen vs Trump relates to the people means exactly that.
Yet its funny because authors saying hes an idiot who cant understand high-falutin language but Trump is understood by the trailer park people.
And he is an idiot for not recognizing that indeed, language WAS a bit different even a century ago than it is now, so such comparisons to Jane Austen as in elitist are moot.
That doesn’t matter now. President Trump is a businessman who talked on a television show, but he’s the best president we’ve had for a long time.
For how long?
Since before Reagan or Eisenhower? (”long time” is a big claim)
