New York and New Jersey, combined, account for more than half of U.S. COVID-19 deaths.
As of the afternoon of April 22, 2020, the U.S. has had a total of 46,771 deaths from COVID-19.
20,167 were in New York.
5,063 were in New Jersey.
In other words, these two states, combined, account for more than half of all COVID-19 deaths in the entire country.

Both of these states require nursing homes to admit patients who have tested positive for COVID-19.
NPR recently reported:
New York and New Jersey both have ordered nursing homes to admit patients regardless of their COVID-19 status.
In my opinion, this policy constitutes mass murder.
Nursing home patients are elderly. And they have major health conditions. No one is more vulnerable to dying from COVID-19 than people in nursing homes.
Ordering nursing homes to admit patients who have tested positive for COVID-19 is an extremely mean, dumb, stupid, irrational, irresponsible, and insane thing to do.
This policy has already killed a huge numbers of people.
And who knows how many more will die as a result.
Relative works in nursing home/assisted living in Missouri. Says hospital sends people in cab to their place and have to take them. Its a small place and they have 6 covid patients.

They are probably moving bodies to nursing homes so they can be discovered.
That was similar to a remark made by a guy whose MIL recently died in a NJ nursing home supposedly from CV. The local hospital sent her there.
Supposedly, besides her DNR, she had made arrangements for cremation and burial of the ashes in a local cemetery. The nursing home took care of all it and told her daughter, there was no need to fly back until May sometime.
His comment was since she was a dem voter, she would still be voting again in November.
Last but not least, how many times would her body/ashes be counted as a new NJ CV victim?
Over half the deaths in PA related to nursing homes. Over half the counties have 2 or less deaths. 22 counties have ZERO deaths.
Worst part: Early on Fedzilla revised the Medicare regs to allow facilities to refuse to take back WuFlu patients if the facility thought the situation warranted refusal.
Cuomo knew this.
They get paid More from their deaths then they do keeping them alive in Rest Homes cost the State Money. Death they make Moneys
Cuomo and the legislature also recently protected state nursing homes from both civil AND criminal liability.
There is or should be zero question that nursing homes are critical infection zones for CV-19. I don’t see how anyone’s opinion makes that avoidable.
Could it be... did democrats work in the lab with the chinese to empty our nursing homes?
NYC stacks people up like cordwood in apartments and they have the highest incidence of covid19????
who knew!
Killing the elderly on purpose with Covid19.
Why not?
That's less money to have to shell out for those old folks.
And since he has no problem killing off babies who would likely end up on welfare and cost the state, why should he stop at old people?
They have a duty to die, donthcha know?
Cuomo tells Trump NYC no longer needs USNS Comfort during WH meeting
Insights welcome.
I find it odd that we hear about multiple reasons for the high confirmed cases and deaths. Trump, Government failure, evil business, restaurants and bars, public parks, etc.
However, I have not heard a word about an obvious possible cause: Both New York metro and New Jersey have very expensive housing and large numbers of immigrants, both legal and illegal. That combination results in houses and apartments with large numbers of inhabitants. A three bedroom house or apartment may have 10-15 adults or more. That sounds to me like an infection factory, but silence from the media and also from the politicians. What’s up?
At $39,000 per death, there is financial incentive to add deaths.

What would be a better plan for these patients? Is it to just keep them in the hospital?
How to wipe out a chunk of pensioners in a flash. So that’s how the state lowers its pension fund pressure.
"Another way to measure the shortfall is to calculate the amount of money that each individual state resident would have to cough up to fully fund the cost of providing state government employees with the retirement benefits promised to them by state politicians. The chart below shows those figures as calculated from the 2018 pension funding data provided by Bloomberg and state population data from the U.S. Census Bureau."
#1. New Jersey 16,009
And they're not just #1 by a nose. They are 60% Worse than #2 Illinois at $10,707.
