The election of Barack Obama in 2008 was a short-lived victory for the Democrat party. He turned out to be a huge red flag. He infuriated the conservative base and destroyed the Democrats advantages in the Senate, the House, and across a wide expanse of state level offices.
During his time in the White House Barack Obama enjoyed approval ratings that were solid even as he preached the gospel of accepting Americas decline as a world power. Nevertheless, in the absence of a way to measure his true popularity we can only look back at his endorsements to gauge how voters really felt toward Obama.
Because they have odd year elections, New Jersey and Virginias 2009 gubernatorial elections became the first real tests of whether voters would cast their ballot for a candidate on Barack Obamas say so. New Jersey proved to be a bitter reminder that, even with a solid 52/42 approval rating, Obama could not persuade voters in a Democrat state to stick with their incumbent Democrat Governor Jon Corzine. On Election Day an average of 18 polls had incumbent Democrat New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine tied with the Republican challenger Chris Christie. Christie won by 4.2% points. Voters saw no reason to continue living under a governor whose policies they had come to strongly dislike. Obamas endorsement did not move the needle.
In Virginia, Obama tired his hand a reviving a politically dead body. The Democrat was down by a mile and a half in every single poll; yet believing his own approval numbers could turn things around in his own backyard, Obama made a last-minute trip to Virginia to lend a hand. The Democrat lost by 12 points. This is a cautionary tale that reminds us that Barack Obama is not Doctor Frankenstein. He cannot bring life to political dead bodies, not even those who can string a cohesive sentence together.
In the Midterm Elections of 2010, after several 2 million plus protesters flooded Washingtons streets, Democrats who had Obamas endorsement often did not mention it.
Their hesitance was well founded as the blood bath Democrats took in Obamas first midterm election was an ass kicking of biblical portion. Republicans picked up 63 seats and took control of the House, on a night that saw Obama just 2 points underwater in approval. His second Mid-tern Election was not much better.
On October 18, 2014 Obama endorsed Lt. Governor Anthony Brown who was running for governor of in Maryland. On that day, Brown had an average lead of 5.1%. Eighteen days later, Republican Larry Hogan, who had no track record and had never been elected to anything, beat Brown by 3.78 points for a net turnaround of 8.88%. Obama thought he would grab some glory by endorsing a candidate who was going to win anyway, but his endorsement killed Browns chances.
This was a sign of things to come. On Election Day nationwide, Republicans picked up an additional 13 seats to make the final score for Obama a net loss of 77 House seats.
Of course Obama die-hards could insist that Obama endorsed Democrats have won close races; but why quibble with the facts?
In 2016 Obama not only endorsed Hillary Clinton but went all in. He told voters her Administration would be his third term. Obama went to Detroit and begged Black voters to validate his presidency by electing Clinton for him.
Turnout numbers show 50,000 fewer voters in the Detroit area stayed home and did not vote for Clinton or any Democrat. More than this, they actually elected President Trump by doing so. Trump won Michigan by 13,000 votes.
He begged voters in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Wisconsin the same way and all those states voted for Trump. In Ohio he brought in Lebron James to stand with him and Trump won Ohio by more than 8 points. In all of these states Blacks swung away from Clinton in spite or because of Barack Obama.
Hillary Clinton got 89% of the Black vote with a lower Black turnout. That was 5 points lower than Obamas average 94% support. No Democrat can win with less than 90% of the Black vote and President Trump already has at least 14%.
Will a wholehearted Barack Obama endorsement of Joe Biden help him beat President Trump? Its not likely.
Yep. An Obama endorsement is worth an additional 100k Trump votes.

Never should have been sworn in.
Obama is not a natural born citizen.
Natural born citizen are NATURALLY citizens because they are born here of citizen parents and have only ONE nationality and could not be anything else.
Its a deadly precedent to set and allow to stand.
Now any illegal alien anchor baby, Chinese tourist baby and Anwar Al-Awlakis kids, born in Yemen to one citizen parent, are eligible.
The founders specifically specified natural born citizen to exclude foreigners.
The children of foreigners ARE foreigners, even if born here they all inherit the nationality of their parent(s).
The GOP went along with it because they have a stable full of ineligible candidates they want to run, Rubio, Jindal, Cruz, Haley and George P. Bush, all born of foreign nationals with more than ONE nationality.
I do not believe that our “Magic Negro” president has anything to offer America , and certainly not anything for Joe Biden, unless its a scam to extend his rule through a puppet.
Obama is a well spoken guy and hes young and black and this is the only reason why he Ascended to power because thats what the Democrats like - somebody you can talk a good game
He was just a black version of Bill Clinton essentially
The difference with Obama though is he really didnt want the job - all he wanted to do was play golf and have parties with Beyoncé
and thats fortunate for us because he really didnt get much done except for Obamacare - which was really a 50-year-old plan Democrats pass in the middle of the night and really with him having nothing to do with that although his name ended up on it
What were really going to remember him more for was his spying on his opponents; the use of the FBI to go after his opponents ; the corruption of the alphabet agencies - and Benghazi
One other thing he did which is eminently forgettable- was the fanning of the flames of racial tensions and finding any little case like Zimmerman or Ferguson or Freddie gray where he PERSONALLY exploited ( that could have been my son about Trayvon martin )
All in a horrible shameless effort to try to divide America on race

"I'm filming an ad for Andrew at the Mondrian South Beach hotel in Miami, later. BTW, Andy. What's a nipple ring?"
Reminds me of the “Clinton Thud.” I seem to remember his endorsements had the same effect.
nope it has to be a woman
Gillum’s gay sex orgy has pushed him to the top of the Democrats’ list...
.....and besides.....
Gillum is willing to go transgender to get back into the political game....and is raiding his wife’s closet and lingerie drawer as we type.
That may work
Gillum’s perfect..... fits in with the rest of the Democrat misfits and weirdos.
Wouldn't that mean that 50,000 more voters went to the polls?
It is similar to Al Gore endorsing Joe Biden in importance.
Nothing will help them, the Demagogic Party is the Party of Hate.
