Boret was among several high-ranking officials whose names were on a death list the Khmer Rouge announced publicly; when the United States abandoned its support and evacuated days before, it was a surprise that Long was not among the Cambodian officials joining them...

In a sane world, every communist Khmer Rouge operative’s name would be a “death list” somewhere, and they’d hunted down with the same fervor as former Nazis.

The NYT called Pol Pot a “visionary agrarian reformer” at one time.

A result of our shameful “end” of the Vietnam “conflict.”

Lesson: Never start a war that you’re not willing to finish.

This is the consequence of the Rats pulling us out of Indochina, the blood is on their hands.

Ironically though, it did take the Commie Vietnamese to invade Cambodia and put an end to the Khmer Rouge Regime.

You captured the matter accurately.

We didn't lose the war, but as the result of negotiating a peace treaty with the communists and "not finishing the war" as you state, we at best delayed the ultimate outcome.

When we left at our leisure North VN was incapable of continuing the war; nonetheless, it only took them a few short years to break the treaty and prevail.

Thanks,
I’m taking this as a compliment. I grew up across the River from Kinison, never went to his Dad’s Church.

Yes it is a complement. It’s a great scene, with the idiot blonde girl spouting the Leftist-nonsense about the war.
