Do you personally know anyone who has died of COVID? Seeking real first hand info. Not my boss' cousin or wife's friend's sister anecdotal info.
I know one in Texas. 30ish, female slightly over weight. Two tests confirmed. Hospitalized.
I don’t know anyone who died, I do know a coworker who contracted the virus, he had it for about two weeks and has recovered.
He said his sense of taste and smell just switched off, no congestion like a cold, just no taste or sense of smell. it lasted for about 12 days, and then came back suddenly. Very weird. He works in our NYC office, talked to him about it yesterday.

All this lockdown is likely driving flu cases way down.
Any form of hospitalization is probably more of a high moderate than very mild case.
Could be or maybe allergies. What’s the pollen count like in your nneck of the woods?

A couple of families with family in New Orleans have lost family members there. A coworker with a sister in Panama said the sister’s whole family was sick but not in hospital. That’s all I’ve heard of.
My wife knows of someone who did.
I know 3 people who had it including one of the first diagnosed cases on Long Island and a girl in her 20s who was hospitalized for it. All are doing okay now.

Two others in our area: 21 dead and 30 dead respectively. The staffs are almost all infected. It just tears through some places. But these people were mostly 95+.

Not only do I want to know how prevalent; I want to know WHAT is happening to them. Direct knowledge of “confirmed” patients - what and how severe were symptoms, how long did it last, etc.
Trying to get a better feel than just the hysteria on TV.
